Somehow come across this movie reactions, remember watching it in cinema when it came out in 90’s. What an Actor, What a Movie! Now in my 40’s and realise how bad ass Michael was in this movie.
There was more to D-Fens' anger than the loss of his job. The home movies with his wife and daughter depicted him as angry, and he had plainly had a weird relationship with his disturbed mother.
The greatest movie ever...and perfect for Jan. 2021. Maybe that gang in congress should watch this movie again and get an idea about how the Americans in this country are feeling about them right about now. We just want a fair, honest, transparent election...is that too much to ask for? Douglas is not crazy in this movie at all. He's just been pushed too far and had enough.
I really related to the character in this movie. Totally riveting. "hey, we have stopped serving breakfast, it's now dinner time". "Look at this picture; can anybody tell me what's wrong here?"
I have a crush on Michael Douglas. Please don't tell anyone about it. I nickname him "Dreamy Detective Blue 👀", because he played an inspector named Steve Keller on The Streets of San Francisco.
god this is a good picture for most people i mean most people are containing that anger but what would it be like to let it out like that it would be like letting your anger take over and losing yourself it just i don't know i think it is a good thing to let anger out but not at that level you know what i mean?
The Michael Douglas character, in this movie, is too intrinsic to be related to something else. It doesn't matter to what character in what movie, or Kirk Douglas character, shakespeare, or anything or anybody else. The character in this movie is just too unique. I haven't seen any movie or play with a character like this before.
If there is anything at all to which you can relate the Michael Douglas character, it wouldn't be to another actor or movie whatsoever. The character reminds me of the roaming tomcat. For whatever reason the cat is displaced, he roams to another area that is just as hideous that the previous area that he left. He isn't welcomed in this world.
This was 30 years ago, ...Jesus Christ. The film was about the America we all knew then & what was happening around it all back then, & where we were headed if nothing was done to set it right. Now it's 2023, & we have successfully fallen all the way to the bottom, & we are not ever getting back up. It's our own fault, so just forget about it. Bye, bye America!
One of the greatest movies ever made. Michael was a total master in it.
Falling Down is Michael Douglas's masterpiece!
Its a masterpiece in many ways
They don't make movies like this one anymore. One of the greatest movies of all time, there is no question. Too many iconic scenes and quotes.
Maybe if you wrote it in fuckin English I could fuckin understand it...

Let's not forget Frederic Forrest, who totally nailed every nuance of his character!

I first remember seeing Michael Douglas as Steve Keller on the TV series The Streets of San Francisco from 1972- 1977.
Great movie!Great Douglas!

Falling Down was one of the beginnings of freedom of speech for expression, exposure, and the TRUTH.

Andrea Patane he's a seriously nice guy aswell. You never have ever heard him say something non complimentary about someone he's worked with

I found certain similarities to The Taxi Driver...
My favourite film. #NotEconomicallyViable
Nice to see this interview with Phil Mickelson, err, Michael Douglas.
I thought it was the president!
