- Appendage, an additional track from the fragile that appears only on the cassette version of the album (now presumably out of print as no one really sells cassettes any more), though it was not done by me, the song has been enhanced by someone to improve the audio which was obviously not great quality when ripped directly from the cassette. The song appears on the right side of the fragile and follows please.
Think its a shame this track was never included on the standard CD version of the fragile, its not bad at all!

The official story from Trent is that this track was made for the cassette version because without it when one side flipped over to the next you'd be in the middle of a song. It was remixed by Charlie Clouser. The vinyl version has extended beginnings, middles or ends to a half dozen songs and adds "10 miles high" and "the new flesh" to the track list.
Will Morin in need that vinyl. The fragile is super significant to me. Ive always loved it.

ASurrealEntity it was on the fragile "tape". When i bought the cd I was sadly disappointed.
@quizmark It's only on the cassette. I have all three versions (cassette, cd, vinyl) from release day. The CD and cassette are identical except for the addition of this song and the Vinyl and CD versions are the same except the vinyl has two extra songs (The Mark Has Been Made / 10 Miles High). The vinyl also has the "real" version of Ripe (With Decay) simply called "Ripe". More info about other different song versions for the album are on the wiki.

Grand Crusader i listened to the tape over and over. Now i feel old with these kids saying why wasn't this on the album over and over.

and a quick FYI for other commenters.... Complications of the Flesh, The Great Collapse, and Deep were never part of any version The Fragile, but were part of later efforts by NIN (singles, remixes albums, soundtracks.)

Best audio quality yet. Awesome. U know, It sucks that The Fragile has so many tracks and remixes that never saw official CD release. Can we at least have them on ITunes? Please.
I use to have this track in a fan made deluxe edition of The Fragile which had the original CD album with all other Fragile related tracks from the cassette of Fragile, singles, eps and audio from the menus for And all that Could Have Been DVD. Great track and Trent should release an official deluxe ver. of TF some day!

If you look up the meaning of "Appendage," it has multiple meanings, and this song could be named for pretty much any of them. Cool.

Was hoping the The Fragile: Deviations would have some gems which it does but i also feel its got abit too much on current day trent and just does not sit well with me overall after listening to it. Little bits he has added like on the end of starfuckers inc, no need.
