We decided to stay at the historical Fox Resort in Jaffna, Sri Lanka!
Jaffna, Sri Lanka has some incredible sights to see, but before we explore more.. we needed to relax here.
We simply had to show you guys how cool this place was, because we typically never go to luxury places, we thought it would something unique and interesting for you to see.

I have only seen such renovations done in europe after the world war, but down here this should be much appreciated!! Thumbs up for this owner on his creativity in utilizing such a place... 👍👌 And thank you guys for revealing the existence of these places to the world. We are so thankful! ❤
The Fox resort looks great and the owner maintains the bunker as a nice art gallery.
Every trench and bunker was closed by the Army after they captured Jaffna in late 1995.
The resort maintains a nice ambiance and traditional Jaffna cuisine for its guests.

Hello Luke and Naomi, Greetings from Perth, WA. We are Sri Lankans now living where our younger daughter lives, here in Perth. I have been enjoying following all your videos on Sri Lanka. They follow a unique pattern which I really like. You are truly ambassadors for Sri Lanka tourism and I am sure many people overseas, will be interested to come to Sri Lanka after watching them. You must by now have realized that even despite the economic problems Sri Lanka is truly an island paradise. I do hope that you enjoy the rest of your stay and come back again and again. Guys... Sri Padaya climbing season has started. I recommend you to trek Sri Padaya. It is one of the places where Buddha visited in Sri Lanka.... Love You Guys 🙏❤❤🇱🇰

The civil war in Sri Lanka lasted from 1983 to 2009, and it affected many people in the country, including those in Jaffna. It's inspiring to see how the people in Jaffna have managed to rebuild and move forward despite the challenges they faced. Hello guys.. now that you're in Jaffna you can visit the remote island called 'Delft' and also another island called 'Naagadeepa'.. If you plan to visit Delft be sure to leave there in the morning so that you can come back by evening. It's a day trip. Earlier there were special ferries for foreign tourists but I don't know about the present situation there. Sri Lanka Navy is there to assist you in case of emergency..

I can’t believe that town I was born and lived till I was 20 has changed a lot and how vibrant. It is truly amazing how people from the west travel to Jaffna and see the culture first hand let alone food

This resort I visited in 2019 this is owned by Rajamahendran , my former Boss , sadly he passed away due to covid two years ago if I'm correct.
We miss him , I was part of his cricket team 1981-1983 till the Civil War now I'm in u.s planning to stay there during my next visit in October 2023.

Moringa is a super food (Drumsticks) even the Moringa leafs can be sprinkled with lime and eaten raw...super food par excellence 👌

There are many different varieties of mangos in the world and there is a difference in taste between different varieties. Sri Lanka has several different varieties of mangos too and the type of mango you get in Jaffna is called Karuthakolamban or for easier pronunciation Jaffna mango

I am so glad that there weren't any usage of the term terrorist. The monument that the man was referring to, is a symbolic of soldier carrying fallen soldier represents paying tribute to fallen ltter fighters of Maveerar naal (remembrance day) every November 27th of the year. SLCSF is run by unpaid volunteers and every penny you donate goes to charitable activities unlike in other charitable organizations where a significant chunk of donations goes to pay staff salaries etc.
In selecting applicants, we advertise countrywide and select the most deserving applicants based ONLY on their academic performance, per person family income, special situations such as parents being sick or had passed away etc. Those are the only criteria we consider in awarding a scholarship.
Since 1998 we have awarded close to 2,600 scholarships.

Hey all, I notice a lot of Sri Lankans watching and commenting here. Am planning to come to Sri Lanka in Mid March and looking to head to Jaffna from Colombo to do some exploring of my own. Does anyone have any recommendations for other resorts in Jaffna to check out the choice and also any advice on taking the train from Colombo. Am Sri Lankan too but have only lived there for around 5 years of my life :) Much appreciated!! :)

Fox resort is a house of one person, who was the one of two founder member of Maharajah Capital group of company, owners of Sakthy TV Sirasa TV, I personally witnessed this house which used by LTTE and thereafter Sri Lanka Army as their camp.

It's abosolutely stunning. Not fantastic. Not incredible. ( which can be bad or good) Not absolutely amazing. Not absolutely wonderful, but absolutely stunning. Is this a typical Irish statement? All kidding aside it is absolutely stunning. Looks like a great resort! Personally, I use incredible, especially for things that are so bad that it is unbelievable because it sounds wonderful especially to a manager's ears rather than saying this really sucks.
