Exactly. Had this guy who didn't want to follow our jump master and then called me a pussy for landing in a less contested spot with said jump master. He then complained that he "could've had a squad wipe" when he was downed and then left after calling me a buncha names. After killing about a squad and a half on my own and dying, I checked to see his damage and that ho didn't even have triple digit damage. What a joke.
As a solo valk main, having a redeploy on call and the ability to see who's where to make a safe rotation is priceless and her capability to hit healing/hiding opponents or open a push with her tactical is great as well. I use the tactical a lot (12k hits). Also, her mobility with the jet packs allows for so many repositioning options and out maneuvering of opponents when properly used. (If used improperly it's just a death sentence though. You really need to be aware of sightlines while flying around and know when to use it to your advantage). Traversing any map is made fun and easy by her ability to fly around. Also when you need to run/evade or chase down a kill to finish she is in the top tier imo. Happy to see the new improved Valk post patch but I hope everyone underestimating her value remains and that her pickrate remains low for my sake as a main. You really need to spend some time getting her down to fully utilize her abilities to their potential heights. However most drop off before mastering her move set. 🤷 Stalling mid air and dropping silently with gun out on or behind an opponent is op. She also effectively has Horizon's passive of soft landings if you always save a blip of gas to feather just before landing.
bro i wanna gatekeep valk as well lmao dont get me wrong, i would love for more people to try her and realize her potential as a solo legend but at the same time i kind of dont want that to happen so i can play her in peace without a lot of people spamming her, and if so, eventually getting nerfed again haha
One of my favorite aspects of her q is using it when in cqc fight and someone goes behind cover. Not only will you for sure hit them, they'll be slowed and you can use the sound of the missiles to cover you instantly pushing them.
Yeah I was gonna say he never used her tac enough but that isn't a horrible thing since I've played with a lot of valks that waste but not using it in the right time and place is also a waste
I haven't played in many many seasons but when I was maining valk it was an easy formula. You pick your fights. She is one of the few characters where you can get the sweatiest squad (except if they have another valk) chasing you for multiple minutes and you can survive. And you are always able to be in a better position. Seeing her in her current state of being the least winning character shows me how unrecognizable the game is to an OG player and how different is the skill of the player base.

Valk was always a recon legend, the nerfed her making her assault, and in true dev still (which they admitted at the time) the did a blanket nerf on her as they didn't know what to nerf, can't wait till Tuesday go get her back

Meanwhile, you had literally years of Wraith being insanely OP and the devs did nothing. Not sure what the lesson is here but it's certainly a bit weird.

As a Valk main I’m excited for the rework I’ve been playing her since S14 and I’ve enjoyed playing her I have played other legends in some cases just because I wanted to switch it up it also depended on how my day was going but I haven’t about 3400 kills on her I know it’s not a lot but if I didn’t play other legends it probably would be like 7-8k but she’s my main 100% and as soon as the update comes out imma have to fight for her

I love playing Valk, even tho she sucks rn. Imo her being meta is not a problem, if shes getting buffed real good, since none of her abilities reward brain dead pushes and dumb fights, like for example Revenant does. Shes my favorite legend to play, because i absolutely love the jetpack
Valk has a low win rate because she has a high skill ceiling (particularly with her passive) so most people playing her aren’t great especially since all the movement sweats are on Horizon

You can just get easy Value on other legends, but if you enjoy her that’s great, go for it 👍 🤙

They talked about how bad her ult was but never even bothered to upgrade it. On top of that Valks strenght is her passive and always have been. Nevertheless she will be on top of the meta next spilt anywas.

But the only problem I see with her is when valk is around they never fly us away with her ult when we get in trouble at all then they try to fly themselves with their boosters and get shot down immediately. Nothing is wrong with her though they probably need to speed her flight path movement up she should move like a wasp or bee not a flying Gibraltar 😂
The easiest work around for devs is making it so every player can pick whatever legend they want, if a team wants to throw & run 3 pathfinders or wraiths then let them
There's probably a lesson here in terms of whether constant redeploy utilities are/were a good thing for the game. For all that it's the insane movement, aim assist, and cheating that primarily keeps me away these days, it does also feel like map design and the general focus of the game has gone awry. Design maps without so many choke points so that teams can't deny movement and you no longer need redeploys. Then valk ult becomes something unuque with extra utility, not just an essential zonal movement feature. Also, dont design maps with so much verticality such that a redeploy to height is such an advantage.

For better or for worse it’s a team game, so if your team doesn’t want to contribute you’re ruining the game for everyone else. Its simple! Fight your 3v3’s quick before a third party and if there’s multiple teams keep a good distance. Idk what’s so hard to comprehend. But when I have a valk teammate I already know it’s going to be a 2v3 at best. Most of the time I feel like a one man army while my teammates can’t even break 100 damage

Had this idea for valk, what if instead of having the Rocket Salvo, she had like a short directional Jet Dash? Maybe she could have 2 charges or something, because the rockets don't necessarily have the most use ever, they don't suppress well as its no Knuckle cluster or Riot Drill, but its stunning capabilities aren't even as good as a basic Arc star and are easily avoidable. Thats where the Jet Dash would be better imo, would make her more fun and engaging to play, then just make her ultimate Flight Core! Xdd jk, but the Jet dash idea is real, any thoughts?
