    Mayan hieroglyphs are a piece of art, would love to see a movement experimenting with the artistic side of it

      I would love to as well. There are a few others who write in Maya, very motivating to see them writing!

    I am very supportive of Mayan writing
    The two civilizations of Maya and China came from one origin
    Many Chinese knew that in 1412, large-scale sailing was to find Maya, but in the end it was unsuccessful.

    This is super cool! I am 50% Guatemalan, dad is full Guatemalan. I just learned the other day our family is all from Xela & Salcajo. They still live there today too. Prime Mayan classical highlands territory. Have gotten really into Mayan culture ever since. I have always been a hippie free spirit type & felt like I should’ve been Native American. No wonder. & I also love cats & bit cats, especially jaguars. Another “coincidence”

      Thank you! It indeed is very cool. You got to honor the cultura and learn the writing system! Especially if your family speaks a Maya language 🙏

      Do it! Grab a pencil and notebook and just keep practicing. I started with regular pencil in a more "drawing" form, but have developed to be able to write well with ink pen and brush strokes. We need more tzib, writers, in the world!
      Try writing your name

    Can they be used to write in other languages especially Spanish?

      Absolutely! That’s one method I’m practicing, spelling out and using them daily. As well as apply them to all twenty-six Maya languages. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
      You should start writing and document your process. ✔️✔️

      Many Mayan languages are still spoken and could be written with this script

    • @LindoLanguage
      @LindoLanguage  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I could see why one may think so, but the more skilled you are the more efficient you may write. Also, various styles differ such as in vases which are a more simplified form compared to stone carved texts that are meant for public display. Also in this video I was still a baby tzib (writer). Have improved greatly, but thank you so much for commenting!

      Yessir, a beautiful script for a beautiful family of languages.
