based on how the cap looks,and the lack of wiring,i suppose there isn't any button for opening the reservoir cap like on other cars,but i must ask,if there isn't any cap locking feature,isn't it easier for someone to steal your gas using a hose and some pressure?
What’s the part number for the satin black? All my searches lead me to the matte black vapor part. I have the pitch black color paint job on my challenger and think the satin would look better as well. Thanks ahead for any reply.
Got my black cap from Amazon, came to this video, very helpful & looks pretty simple..... BUT you didn't say anything about the black plastic fender well piece!! That's gonna take waaaaay longer to remove than this video😢

They have aftermarket locking gas caps. They lock and unlock using a key.

id rather keep the stock. i have the same fuel cap you just installed and over time the paint will peel off.

How did the black color hold up? I have the same fuel door being delivered tomorrow, but there are tons of reviews saying the color fades.
My car spend 90% of its life in my garage. So far I have not seen any fading at all. Still looks new.

The lid never locks.
It's just a wonder why Dodge kept putting the chrome cap on when it's clear that 99.99% of all owners rip that sucker off... make it make sense...

Yes! And you can normally find them at your local auto parts store.
