It is so strange to display to thousands of people what I keep inside my purse. I guess I could have set up a fake but I could not do that and feel honest. “I am what I am”, as they say. It’s the stuff of ASMR.... Real life. I hope y’all enjoy the sounds.

I remember way back in my early childhood (like 2004 lol) every Saturday night my grandma use to dig through her purse and get her money and things ready for church the next day. I use to sit on her bed and listen to the sounds as she was rambling through it and it sounded so good! But back then I thought I was the only one like that and I don’t believe it was actually a “thing” during that time. I never talked about it I just kinda secretly kept it to myself. So it’s nice to see there are actually MILLIONS of people who like this stuff and I’m not the only one. Anyways I love your content. Please keep up the good work! ❤️.

My grandmother had the really old-fashioned purses that had the snap at the top. I remember that little click sound when she closed her “pocket book” with a snap.

That’s why I have a video of my own coming up of just purses. THAT sound! Plus other types of purse sounds. Leather, etc. Yippee!
2 years later and I still love this one. I go back to all your older videos aside from watching all your new ones. You're the best one out there. Others just don't shop, rummage through purses etc like you do.... and when they only have one free hand to touch things because they're holding their phone, I'm like, "Rebecca doesn't do things like that." 😊

That is so funny! Seduce the microphone with my voice. I love that. I have been accused of trying to sound sexy. But soft Spoken leans in that direction naturally. It’s all just me, naturally. No put on. Except for the voice overs. A bit of acting goes into that as I’m doing it after the fact. But that comes rather naturally as well. Thank you for your comment.

I was at a place called the "Yankee Peddler" in Sturbridge MA this past weekend, and I thought of your wonderful videos. Some of my favorite of your videos (aside from this one) are the shopping ones, and you would just love this place! I'm much more aware of sounds since watching your videos and this place was filled with wonderful things to touch and hear (not to mention see, taste, and smell).

She use to mop the classroom and sort papers to see if anyone experienced it because she told us all at that time, only half of the people in the world could. I would nearly fall asleep every time! Me and my 9 year old daughter watch ASMR every night to fall asleep and for the past 3 nights, it's been to your videos!
Well that is an amazing story! In school via a teacher...so surprising. I never knew it existed until a year ago and I jumped on it! So thrilled to know there was a name for what I experienced and that I wasn’t crazy. We are lucky! It’s very nice to meet you Megan. Maybe I will see you around 🤗😘

My dad used to take that medicine in that brown colored bottled. I remember those being all over the house when I was a kid lol.

Rebecca’s Beautiful ASMR Addiction Epps definitely. I’m pretty sure that’s what he died from. He had dementia up until the end. My mom was a bit of a hoarder and used those little bottles to store buttons and all types of little things around the house lol.
Dementia is so awful. My mama had it up until she died as well. Thank you for sharing with me.

When I was a little girl I used to watch my mum do her hair and empty her makeup out of her very plasticky make up bag, apply make up and put things back into it first thing in the morning. She was a hairdresser, had a couple of shops in her life and a couple of mobile hairdressing rounds too. She would pack what she needed just for that day and unpack what wasn't needed that day in the hairdressing bag. She would have an appointment book of course and pouch for the takings of money etc...plus notes and customer receipt pads etc.. Lots and lots of rummaging sounds. She gave me old bags, plus make up/cosmetic bag with discarded leftover make up bits. I was about 7 years old. I am now 56. I used to go in and out of the bags, and rearrange them and fiddle with all the bits of make up. I remember now putting them in and out of the bags. I loved the sounds and I just played around for ages... And then your vid reminded me of how I used to wrap up an old chocolate box in wrapping paper, folding it all different ways to wrap up the box. I cannot for the life of me remember if I ever fixed any of it with tape? I don't think I did, otherwise I probably couldn't have wrapped the box up and folded the paper around so much. But I remember how I loved the crinkles. My parents got me a post office set full of crinkly items to fill in and rifle through because I said I liked the sound of what I called "rrackkerly"(haha?) paper. Whilst I have not forgotten how much I love these sounds, I just had not thought about those memories in years...Also, one memory has led to another ..I used to go with her to the hairdressing wholesalers, the place had this particular smell... But what I remember most is the sound of footsteps. Really relaxing clacking gentle footstep sounds .. I don't know what the floor covering was. But I like the sound of footsteps say on a cobbled street... I have now been thinking about some of the kinds of sounds I like and why....! I've started thinking about it more, even to the point of remembering a next door neighbour that used to sweep the passageway between the houses with a very 'swishy' sweeping brush😂😂😂... The swishing of the brush was really relaxing.!! I guess while we are concentrating on these lovely sounds, we are not actually thinking much at all..just being...and therein lies the peace. Your videos are a gift, just opening the door to beckon a listener and watcher to just ease off the chaos of thoughts and ease into just 'being' for a while... Of course gentle memories can flood in which are a form of thought of course, but very gentle and soothing ones as a balm.
So thank you Rebecca. What you do actually does more than you know. And you do it all so honestly and innocently which makes it such a treasure. A brightness in the world. ♥️♥️♥️🌎✨♥️♥️♥️
AuroraVioletLight, what is your name dear woman? What you have written has touched my heart. I was doing that exact same thing this morning. I heard a small low flying airplane going by overhead and I was swept away to the past. Sometimes it’s more feelings than it is actual memory. But it is such a blessing in the present day to remember these things fondly rather than wishing I could go back because I don’t like today. That’s what I used to do. Now I just let my heart swell with the beauty of yesterday. I love some of the memories you describe. Perhaps I could try to make a video of something you have mentioned. @@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction Yes, agreed, I like to relish the memory in the present as I had developed a habit of often harping back to the past wishing to go back. But not these days. The power of now, something I learnt when I was 16, but events helped me to forget it!! Thankfully I more recently remember.🙏👍.. so I try to be more present in the now if I can. Not always easy!.. I guess it's one step at a time. I can do this easily alone it's when other factors interfere, outside influences i.e certain negativity or other things. Hi Hannah. Very nice of you to say that I seem natural. The irony is that I do stage my videos...To be natural. And to be as pretty as possible. Notice the yellow on the towel that matches the yellow nail polish that matches the green and yellow pens etc. It is sort of a trick I learned from when I owned a gift shop. I really love decorating. Reminds me of one of my earliest memories of ASMR my Mum going through her bag looking for her glasses which were actually on Her head.I couldn't tell her or She would have stopped rummaging,naughty me.

My first and biggest asmr trigger is people going through my stuff without asking (weird I know.) but there are no videos like that so this is the closest I could get. For example, if someone thought I was sleeping and snuck in my room and gently went through my notebooks and makeup and studied it. Please please please keep making videos!! These really help my anxiety

Along the lines of that, I used to enjoy the sounds of my roommate getting ready in the morning while I will still half asleep. At first it was annoying to wake up earlier than I needed to, but the sound of footsteps, makeup, papers, etc. was relaxing!

Honestly this is pretty realistic for me, like when I look for something, whatever I see I just look at or examine it and i end up taking much longer than I need to find whatever it is, but it's calming 🤷♀️ sometimes I just rummage through my bags and look at everything lol

This is my absolute favourite type of sound, or sounds. Especially the sounds the bag makes. There’s just something so nostalgic over it, when I was a kid and my mom cleaned out her purse. Thank you ❤️

My dog also enjoys your videos I put them on when we're going to take a nap she starts breathing hard right away very enjoyable for her and my high strung puppy he also gets knocked out in the first few minutes and calms down instead of running in circles before he lays down
