Mariah is a Legend see? She cares about us, just not about the song selection... lol but for real, she doesn't even perform ISB, eventhough it won the Twitter poll. This setlist has 2-3 songs which are unusual. I don't really have a problem with the residency itself, but if you gonna sing the #1s and two songs which were top 10 don't advertise it as 'deeper album cuts'.
If she can sing CTTA, she can sing the second verse of Make It Happen. And yes, I agree with you, there are too many #1 songs. Are touch my body and Honey really needed? I'm tired of those songs. Where are songs like Vanishing and Melt Away?
She may have lipped some parts I don't know but in my opinion this is miles better than the 1st & 2nd nights and I'm sure it will only get better as her voice warms up properly.
what happened that cannot be fixed is what I would really love to know. Nodules that can't be operated maybe? But at this point is there so much to lose by trying? I don't get it. Or maybe an operation that went bad and she doesn't want to make a big deal out of it? She's very smart in all cases not to address the issue since it's creating speculation but....
Mariah Carey is my favorite artist of all time but I'm starting to want her to stop performing live. It hurts me to see her not be able to hit the high exciting notes we used to hear her hit. Yes, I know she's been performing thousands upon thousands of times almost 30 years now so that takes a toll on someone's voice and really it's amazing that she still sounds as good as she does but I'd rather remember my favorite artist at her best rather than remember hearing her struggle to hit notes. Like honestly it really hurts me and makes me feel sad and disappointed. She will always be the greatest in my book but I don't want her to continue on like this anymore. If it were me, I would just record in the studio and release a song here and there but if my voice struggled this much, I wouldn't do concerts anymore... I mean why let your fans down if you can't hit the notes they love you for or if you can't hit the notes they got so excited about. Some of these performances my lovely Mariah just seems like she's just bored and going through the motions until the song ends, lol. Sorry, I'm just being honest. Like I said she is Mariah Carey, the greatest, but I don't wanna see her struggle on stage anymore. Like I'm gonna have to stop watching. :-(
Ariana’s Sweetener "I once was lost but now I'm found I got my feet on solid ground" part is prerecorded for the first time ever and if you see closer to her face you'll notice it's prerecorded, it's the first time she lipsynch that part, perhaps because she was flat the nights before. I'm a true lamb and I adore Mimi but it is what it is daahling
