I see everyone’s comments and appreciate the feedback! From everything I’ve gotten I’m leaning towards reading the manga from the original Bleach up until this point (I’ve never read a Manga before so it’s kind of an exciting idea). Then I’ll come back to this Anime. Until then I’ll substitute another anime in this place. That reaction will be posted in the coming days! Again thanks for letting me know!

@@MusingsOfMichael most would argue that pre-TYBW the manga is better than the anime anyway (I would suggest the uncolored versions, Kubo’s shading in black and white is way more impactful.) bout the only thing you lose is the music, unfortunately Bleach has the best music in anime so it will be a loss if you read the manga
It is worth it, the only thing that the anime has over the manga is the OST (one of the best in any anime) and the animated fights. I'd recommend you to watch the fights (the important ones) once you reach those in the manga. As of TYBW arc the anime is overall superior to the manga no doubt.
After each of the manga fights you should watch their anime versions. Fights are awesome. The designs and sounds are too
Good pick! The First part of the anime has an "older" vibe of the pacing, and lots of fillers, if you're new to anime it might throw you off a bit, so reading the manga will be faster.
I do recomend you listening to the OST at some point tho! Shiro Sagisu (The Composer that works in Bleach) is my favorite Composer! highly reccomend checking it out.
Yes, the original anime Bleach is from where you should start, TYBW is a continuation not a remake.

Go and see the og bleach fully without filter episode, it's probably like a 210 episodes (without filter)
And then watch the tybw bleach because you understand anything without the og bleach and story wise too @@MusingsOfMichael
On the other hand it is bit interesting experiment. Many people didn't watch og Dragon Ball and go straight to Z. I think TYBW more dependant to og Bleach, as Bleach is bit more complex , but we didn't see anyone even try.

Bro, dont just start with the last arc of a series that has almost 250 episodes now. You won't understand anything about it. Especially when we're talking about Bleach.
You won't even connect with all the characters in this arc, the worldbuilding, powersystem etc.

Bro u need to watch the OG bleach to understand the context of this show. Cus even people who have watch whole show had a hardtime comprehending bleach how much more if u dont watch the og and just jump in tybw arc.😅
i disagree because i almost dropped bleach 4 times when i was watching the original series. its not bad its wayy to long and the filler will kill you unless you use a website that tells you what exact episode is filler or not. and bleach is my favorite anime and probably top 5 manga

You basically watched episodes 367 and 368. Heck, if you like it keep watching then you could go back and watch from the beginning. But I think some purists wouldn’t like that. It’s interesting to see someone go in blind.

Yeah without the beginning of the story this is just gonna be pretty pictures and great music lol Bleach is one of those that you gotta start from the beginning, and even then you need to watch/read multiple times to get the full picture, A lot of info/ lore is dropped by people with incomplete knowledge, sketchy views and motivations, many of the themes are only told through aesthetic choices and needs to be mulled over and stitched together by the reader to get the full picture. this WAS after all written back in the days before tiktok and internet brain-rot, when writers/artists used to make stuff that was meant to linger in the brain and be contemplated as you revisited their works due to limited accessibility of new works. Now that the medium is popular most of the 'fans' only view the art once and then move on to the next, only ever forming a VERY surface level understanding of things... without having someone else explain it to them online that is lol
You gotta start from the OG Bleach . This isn't a remake . Bleach , of its time is one of the most popular shows along with One Piece and Naruto which collectively are known as the Big Three . The anime of Bleach never finished as it stopped in (I think) 2011 right before TYBW arc . The anime FINALLY came back after a decade in 2022 and now , we are able to experience Bleach with amazing quality animation .
You can't understand ANYTHING if you try to watch TYBW because all the context and stuff exists in the earlier arcs . Bleach also can sometimes be a bit hard to follow because of unique world of its so you should start from the beginning . All the things you had questions about are all answered in the OG Bleach . I actually felt bad that you were SOOO focused and trying to piece things together but its impossible without the OG Bleach 😅😌

About Hollows and Arrancars. Hollows are spirits of dead people which went mad because negative emotions and turned into monstrosities. Arrancars are basically hollows, that were able to evolved into hybrids between Hollows and Shinigami. After that they lost most of their hollows traits and regained humanity (although many of them are still mad). They were able to do so in natural circumstances, although with great difficulty, but about 2 year ago they get under renegate shinigami Sosuke Aizen, which used different method in order bust their quality and quantity, and make army for war against Soul Society.
This is a continuation of the 06 show. Ichigo is a soul reaper same as the old guy. Soul reapers are located in the soul Society and the strongest are the 13 captains. That old guy was the leader of squad 1, ergo the head captain.

Also we kinda need to speak about Shinigami powers. Shinigami have their powers distributed to 4 categories: Fighting with sword, Fighting without sword, Magic (also called Kido), and Flashstep techniques (you will see lot of people "teleporting" around. Even more so, because all race have similar technique).
Most focus is on Fighting with sword, when they develop soul bond with their swords, which also develop soul on their own. And thanks to this bond they are able to awaken their sword's unique powers (pretty much each sword has different abilities), included in two forms.
First one is shi kai (or also partial release). Almost all shinigami can perform this. They awaken this sword form (in which it often changes shape), can perform some special ability.
And then there is second release which is called Ban Kai (complete release). Ban Kai is far more difficult to perform and is considered master technique. Currently with cca 6000 shinigami, only cca 25 is capable to do it, and that is even more than usual. Ban kais abilities are on complete different level than Shi kai, and shinigami themselves mostly treat it like weapon of mass destruction (because it often is).

The original bleach anime has like 366 episodes however many of them are not canon and a filler guide will make it significantly faster to get through

It's beyond not understanding even. You are not attached to the characters, don't know who's who and why they are fighting. This is like watching Season 8 of Game of Thrones without 1-7 or LOTR 3 without watching 1 and 2. :D
You really should not watch TYBW without seeing Bleach. To put into context, TYBW 1x1 is also Bleach ep 367 and so on. It's like starting a show from the 367 episode...
It would ruin your experience, especially if you wanna see 1-366 later on.
don't watch TYBW before finishing the OG or reading the manga up to the relevant chapters, you've missed out on hundreds of episodes of world-building, character progression and many other relevant pieces of info

I recommend reading the Bleach manga, the old anime can be boring sometimes, because of the animation, if you're going to start watching the anime, I recommend looking for a list of fillers and only watching canon eps and mixed.
You have to watch Bleach anime before continuing into the Bleach TYBW, TYBW is the last part of the manga that was left to be animated which got back to be animated in recent years. Specially this anime is not meant to be understood from starting to watch from its last arc. I've seen people who have watched whole bleach anime not being able to understand things happening in bleach TYBW.
I honestly dont think you should try and collect any sort of outside references for this; listening to you piece everything together is riveting and such a unique situation, and you collect information then relate them so well. Please keep doing what you are doing at your own pace, and I cant wait to keep watching.

there are races in bleach. you mnight need to read it or do a summary to leading this point to understand characters and hollows and all that
From someone who has read the manga 3 times just like others her I recommend to read the manga and start watching the anime you hit tybw and skip it in the manga the reason I say this is because the arc in the anime to the manga are vary different like night and day and to all the anime is the canon version sense the anime fixes a lot of things in that arc.
Just a tip/idea if ur starting a anime reaction channel you should probably start by first doing the reactions for anime Opening which will help you gain subscribers then u can watch the starter animes like death note, jujutsu kaisen , demon slayer etc❤

the 06 show is the og, this was the continuation, start with the 06. Skip all the filler for the 06 version. There is no filler in the new seasons.

15:15 Hollows and Arrancars are the same, think of it like a regular cat and A lion both are within the cat family but one more evolved than the other... Arrancars are basically evolved hollows (don't think about menos,adjucas and vasto lorde for now lol)

Once upon a time I was listening to the an audio book. I was intrigued by the way the author threw you right into the middle of the action.
After a bit, I realized I had my media player on shuffle play...
watch the anime bleach first. you can skip the fillers and you'll have only 200 eps to watch. the final cour of the this season will be out as soon as you catch up
