🎥 DIRECTOR’S NOTES 🎬
🎬 As I wanted to focus this Scene Remix on Marlo's tasking of Chris and Snoop, I omitted the beginning of Marlo's discussion with Prop Joe where Joe agrees to investigate Herc, because it would have distracted from the subject of the video.
🎬 When Marlo leaves Joe's shop I wanted to time it so Marlo closing the door appeared to segue into Chris and Snoop opening their doors.
🎬 After Chris and Snoop walk away from the first potential victim, I thought a cut between Snoop's PSSSHH to the next scene of them walking to the new victim was jarring, so I softened it with a fade.
🎬 All of the scenes used here are from Season 4 Episode 8.

I like how snoop tried to make it natural by saying something about a bet, but Chris was just walking up to guys and quizzing them like some kind of game show host.
Also the first guy must have been so confused, he seemed genuinely excited to talk about his favourite radio host at first.
This scene is probably the funniest in the whole show.

Many every single actor in this show absolutely crushed their roles.

I love Marlo's expressions in the beginning of the clip. They're subtle, but you can pick up on how tired Marlo is of being schooled by Prop Joe. When he asked him "one other thing", Marlo holds back a sigh and has this look on his face like "enough of this shit ". He then starts to cover his face because he's laughing to himself at the audacity of being talked down to by Joe while he pulls the same "no disrespect" shit that got the security guard killed. Marlo truly wanted it one way.
But it's the other way.

Thinking about it, this makes a lot of sense. Snoop is an assassin, so she probably only hangs out with Chris and maybe a girlfriend. But a drug dealer? What drug dealer doesn't go to clubs? What drug dealer isn't at least familiar with the music their friends are listening to? How tf do you even socialize with other dealers if you don't vibe with them at all? You can't really be a 'shut in' drug dealer if you're in the game.
Especially since after doing a bit of research, it really does sound like Young Leek is the perfect example of the kind of local thing a local *would have to know* because of how they played the fuck out of that one song of his.

The way Joe kisses Marlo’s ass takes me completely out of the show. It makes zero sense.
It makes sense since Joe knows Marlo is a wild animal who could kill him without provocation.
He's not kissing his ass. He's showing him extra respect because he knows that's how you calm Marlo's hot head down. If Marlo gets angry at Joe he won't go along with the coop.
