thank you. :-) I tell you a secret. This song involves changing keys in the middle, and there were quite a lot of chords in it. I wrote the chords on a big sign next to the camera. It was one of the two songs I had to do so as I had a hard time remembering all the chords. ;p
Small snack was one of hit songs in Japan when I was an elementary school boy. So listening to this beautiful melody by your guitar makes me bring back tears to my eyes because of bringing back to my sweet and sour memories from the past.
Such a beautiful tune indeed! Gee, round and round the melody still goes in my head all the time... Somehow it takes me back to every delightful moment when I was but an innocent kid walking along the countryside on my way back home. Awesome! 🎶
thank you! Some of the songs we chose are actually quite new to us, although you know well they are old songs. These are songs that we fall in love with right away and told ourselves we just have to figure out how to play them! I am glad the selections turn out to be okay. ;-)
Thank you! We love it too....a big hit in japan in 1968 i heard, n it seems timeless. We just hope we did it right and not spoil anything. ;) it took me 50 times b4 playing it right, n took mina 1 afternoon too. The melody sounded not complicated but the intro n.outro were harder thn it seemed. We hv been playing this song for 2 years now, n when we recorded it, it was still.not easy.
We are happy you like our performance! We were not born yet when Purple Shadows were popular, but the melody sure sounds very nostalgic and timeless. We just love it and to learn how to play the song! I hope Mina and I can one day sing this song well too! ;-)
wow! That's...wow! I need to ask Mina to work on her Japanese because one stage, one has to do some talking and connect to the audience and all! I am doing al these talking now on stage. hee hee
Hmm, a slow beat cruising tone... This reminds me of my grandfather's '78 Lincoln Continental 4-door sedan, it's Ford's longest production car ever made at 233"/592cm long. It came with the optional 460"³/7.5L V8, optional 4-wheel disc-brakes, and optional rear suicide doors. This behemoth weighed in at more than 4900 lbs or 2200kg. For guitars, my nearest pick is my early Firefly 339 semi-hollow guitar in blueburst with a set of 2009 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Professional pickups (Burstbucker 3 and 57 Classic humbuckers) preinstalled by the previous owner. I then added 2 p/p volume pots to coil split each humbuckers independently. This gives it passable single-coil tones, but where it really shines is the humbucker tones which is way superior to the stock pups (which came with the guitar in the gigbag pocket). Later on, I'm going to swap out the two tone pots for matching B330k pots with 0.033μF caps and add variable treb bleed circuits to the volume pots, the tricky part is figuring out the best place to remote mount them so I can adjust them w/o having to open up the guitar.
Your grandfather's Lincoln has been one of my dream cars since young. The former "King of the city" used to own one, and I could never forget those concealed headlamps...don't think that particular one has suicide doors though....guess the owner didn't check that on the option box. it DID come with a 7.5L engine...very thirsty I assume. There is still a coupe left in town....it's extremely rare...but I still like the 4 dr sedan...huge, but stunning. One of the sons of the "King" became the first chief executive of the city (like a major) and ruled the town for 10 years before he got promoted to be one of the state leaders. Your pick of Flyfire 339 Blueburst seems quite similar to our Epiphone Gary Clark Junior signature Casino. We love the color and photos/videos don't do the justice. a 339 size guitar would be more suitable for Mina. ;-)
@@PangPangguitarjam LOL, my 339 is also suitable for me too! I'm only 5'5"/165cm, so the 335-style guitar is more better for me than the Casino (gods, I dunno how Mina can use that beautiful Casino, I can see her bending down just to reach the Bigsby's trem bar). The firefly is a good option, just try to play test one first b4 buying it. They've had, and sometimes still do, issues with consistent quality control, but if you do snag one that is well built its an excellent and affordable choice in a semi-hollow. I got lucky and found one locally so I could verify its quality of build in person before forking out my $. The bonus was in getting one with pups upgraded to 2009 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Professional's Burstbucker 3 bridge and 57 Classic neck cream zebra humbucker set. That's the only reason why I was ok in paying "only" 300US$/33322.95JP¥ for a Firefly, regardless of how good a condition it was in (nearly flawless with a good setup job done to it). 😆
You are absolutely right. But most people don't let their kids handle their electric guitars. So it was just pure luck I let Mina, and she was interested. Another big reason, she doesn't play with a smartphone much. If a kid doesn't play with a smartphone much, they can use the time to learn anything fast: music instrument, language, a skill....
Still, chicchi is good, and probably she is more knowledgeable than us when it comes to surf music. Afterall, she gigged with surf rock legend Nokie Edwards!!! ;-)

Boa.sorte😊😊

Thank you!!! From Arkansas? I heard temps have been pretty high in the US. take care and stay cool.
I think that this a fairly new tune to me. Very nicely done 👍👍. Thank you 🙏.

The song of the group called Purple Shadows is nostalgic and the performance is wonderful.
