i hopped this video would help avoid me spening money on a new monitor but nope :( thats almost 200 euros down the drain (and an upgrade from 60 to 144 fps)
i went to the windows start settings and pressed F1 (Debug-Mode), since then my monitor flickers and has a worse resolution. the funny thing is that in all windows or nvidia settings the values are exactly how they should be, also in the OSD of my monitor it says 1440@144Hz, when it‘s clearly not. its only on my right screen and im pretty sure its a windows problem but with the normal settings i cannot fix it. if anyone is an expert please help me
My flickering on my monitor goes away when I re boot......but then will re-appear after a period of time, perhaps an hour or so.....any idea's on this ? ( there is no flickering on my computer when I don't use the monitor. and i just bought a new monitor and with 1 hour there was some flickering that went away on its own )
I tried tightening cables, swapping cables, changing cable source, factory restart monitor, playing with all the monitor settings, changing power outlet and the power cable itself, change computers. Not sure exactly what fixed it but after a while it just fixed it self. Maybe it just needed to warm up a bit in the morning idk....
Thank you so much! My issue was the refresh rate was at the lowest setting (it came like that as the default) I upped that bad boy and now the flickering is gone! I didn't even know the slow refresh rate could create an issue. Thank you again!
It's weird, but I only get screen flicker with certain patterns on Windows 10, such as a high resolution scan of printed media for instance where you see the individual dots of ink at 100% in Windows Paint. Yet this doesn't happen with the same image with Windows XP. The monitor's fine, the cable's fine, the connections are fine, most of the time images and video is fine, then for this very specific instance the screen seems to flicker and jump about, even though Windows 10 and the display driver are fully updated. Using a BenQ GW2470HL 24" display on VGA with an EVGA GTX 750 Ti SC.
My main monitor flickers like crazy whenever someone on the house used the washing machine that is located near the bathroom, I don't know what to do and why only my main monitor flickers when the other two doesn't.
If anyone could help me with this, that would be amazing. I use an Onn monitor as my second display and I just suddenly started getting screen brightness flickering. This just started happening and I've been using this monitor as a second display just fine for months now, no flickering. The HDMI cable isn't the issue either, I swapped the HDMI cables I was using for my monitors and it still flickers, main display isn't flickering with the old cable. I highly doubt its a driver issue as well as this isn't effecting both of my monitors. The screen was like 70 bucks so I think it might be going out but reallyyyy don't feel like replacing it but I'm at the point of getting ready to chuck it and get a good monitor to replace it if I can't fix this. The only notable thing I've done was install Norton and do a scan. I've heard that Norton programs have a bad issue with causing this, however I've followed the steps to fix it and no dice and like I stated, it's only effecting my secondary display, not my main. Any ideas?
Yo! I am having a problem with my screen so I have a 144 hz monitor and it gives me the 144hz option to change it to 144 but whenever I do that my screen just shuts off and reset to 120hz I have a radeon RX 5550 XT so it should be able to run it?
if it dont works for anybody here try putting the monitor in another poweroutlet i had my pc plus 3 monitors on one poweroutlet then removed it and it works good video btw
My Samsung monitor is a G4 260hz one. Got it brand new 2 months ago. Half of screen is half way dark like not fully dark you can still see the sceeen but dark and no matter what I do I cannot fix it. I have talked to Samsung so many times trying everything they recommend like unplugging testing with other thing etc. I noticed when i put a cable into the monitor that the port where it is feels loose. Is that suppose to be like that? I tried a few and they all did the same thing on the hdmi port and DP. If anyone has had this issue pls help LOL It also has update 1.07 something and the latest one for this monitor is 1.6 so it wont let me update it Not sure if this is flickering or not but any help would help
here the sumarize tips flickering 1.check both cable connect properly 2.wiggle the cable from one end to one end 3.actual software itself, which the FPS to low or to high cause the flickering 4.video card is properly secure, there may some case GPU loose that cause the flickering 5.inspect the monitor for the physical damage , there may be damage on the port 6.sometime there problem with current computer which cause the flickering, so try other computer thx me later
I just bought a ASUS ROG Swift PG34WCDM less than a month ago, and it's connected to my computer through a DisplayPort 1.2 cable, for the past few days it randomly started flickering black for 1-2 seconds (like if someone was turning off the lights and turning it back on really fast), I have 4 monitors connected, plus one that is plugged into my second GPU which is irreverent anyway, it’s about less than a month old since I had it, the last few days it has started flashing on and off at approximately (fairly regular) 1-second intervals, sometimes in games too as well. All drivers in Windows are up to date (display/GPU through Nvidia App, I don’t know what else to do?
I'm having an issue I can't solve and cant find info anywhere. Half of my screen after like 15 minutes will flash on half my screen a faded black, faded towards the middle and getting more black towards the edge.
I have the same flickering problem and i called the shop owner to cope the problem he told me to re-insert the VGA cable I did and my 90% flickering is went away but still there's 10% what to do now??...
My monitor flashes on and off around 4-5 times when I first turn it on, but then it works totally fine. Any ideas why this happens? My video card is properly seated and up to date. I checked the cords for secure connections.
Hai...I have some questions...my monitor flickering was not all item but before this not have this problem... for begging I already change the graphics card but the graphics card not have vga connector so I need to add display port to VGA adapter...is that because this then my monitor got flickering???
Thanks sir, you’re a life saver. I’m glad I watched your TH-cam. My screen flickering problem solved, thanks to your video. I was checking the settings and software updates, etc. Guess what, it was a loose cable at the back of the screen that was half way in. I watched your video and tightened it up. Problem gone. 🎉😂❤ Thanks again.
thank you very much! the cord was getting pulled on by the desk. I freed it (had to replug the monitor into the graphics port to re-establish signal) and the flickering stopped!
@@Contagious93812 mine has kept doing it ever since. I've bought a new monitor but it won't arrive for another week so I'm making do with this one for the meantime. I'm glad to hear yours has self corrected though.
