tbf i actually learned and could read/remembered braille for half a decade after.
In theyr defence the guide had a braille section exclusively to help with that puzzle
The braille part was only to capture the titans, Pekora is trying to get a gym badge.

When she confidently walks out after she painfully solves the ice puzzle, I facepalmed.

Little does she know that BDSP is a very high-quality and you _definitely_ aren't able to just walk right up the slope if you do it at a specific angle.
Specially because the Diagonal walking coding is good

This gym has a way to off set the puzzle but you can soft lock yourself as well. Gotta love 3d movement for a linear line game.
Luckily it's possible to load previous autosaves by using a certain button combination from the main menu.

I couldn't get the diagonals to work so I just said fuck it it's faster to just do the puzzle at this point.

The best part about this is, I can’t relate at all because by the time I got around to playing Platinum, I had looked at the map like fifteen-twenty in the years prior and basically could run through the solution in like, four minutes

I remember spending a lot of time on this puzzle when I was younger. But then I was in the single digits. Someone who's first experience was BDSP: how long did it take you?
A bit more than 15 min if we exclude the battles+ reset for me.
I was 11 when I first played it.
I first play gen 4 when I was in high school with Platinum, the puzzle didn’t take me long, guess playing gen 3 when I was small help me better at predicting steps to take
I remember being excited for the puzzles when i started playing. When there was ice, you knew there was a puzzle coming.
Prob around 20 min? Didn't realise until halway thru the stair need to be cleared out of the snow ball. And spend a bit more time on how to clear the snowball infront of the first staircase.
like, 15 seconds of walking at the final stairs diagonally until I got the angle right.

coincidentally I just watch a video this morning about someone doing this puzzle by going straight on the middle-left lane then walking diagonally ...

This puzzle...doesn't look all that challenging...Clearly the point of it is to destroy the obstructions by gaining momentum from an upper floor and getting yourslef centered to the boss.
Ot not hard in hindsight, but what made it hard for most people is that they forget where the 'stops' where and tend to either over shoot it or just badly miss and have to force reset.
It essentially more akin to a memory game then an actual puzzle.
@@doctorwho3708 I guess it’s easy when you’re looking at it from a spectator perspective as oppose to trying to make it work from the players perspective.
