I was born and raised in CA. I once took a job in Houston. I loved everything about being in Houston except the weather. I understood why the company I worked for did all their recruiting in the spring and fall :). I left that job after a short time when a company in Silicon Valley recruited me. About 7 years ago my wife and I moved from our home in San Francisco to Idaho. Things in the city were deteriorating at a rapid clip, we just didn't want to be there to see its total collapse. We totally understand any company or person wanting to be out of California, the Neo-Marxists are firmly in charge. Before we decided to leave, my wife best described what is going on in California today, she said, "we have become so civilized, that we are uncivilized."

I work at Chevron. There are basically no jobs left in San Ramon, the office is basically vacant lol This is just a formality. Most of the jobs moved over from Houston to San Ramon. Chevron offerred employees 8% of the their house cost to sell out and move to Houston They sold the SR campus 2 years ago and are moving everyone over to lease space for the next 5 years until they move or leave the company. No major change, just optics here
