Yes, but then again if something supernatural truly was at greater play (I say greater because of the last sentence in this story), it would become too much like the others in this volume, and thus provide a less entertaining and more unconvincing narrative. Not all stories involving ghosts have to have an unhappy ending, you know. Also, this really is something I’d suggest writing to the original author about. I’ve only adapted this story.
