I think if you're doing a celebi or pikachu guide it's important to distinguish the different builds. Gyarados and Mewtwo have very little build variety
One thing I found out the nice way is that Marshadow’s revenge does not activate for 100 dmg if a Pokémon is knocked out the previous turn from Greninja shuriken. (Rough skin dmg too) Many Marshadow users either don’t know this, or are forced to abandon their plan of retaliating with a big hit. Doesn’t come into play often, but it’s “the little things that can make the difference…” 👍
I've been playing since launch with well over 1000 games played. I've watched countless videos here on TH-cam, as well. That said, Undead has put out three videos as of today, and they've all been top notch accurate. Leaps and bounds above other creators, including the most popular ones. As a new player, pay attention and you'll learn A LOT from Undead. I don't necessarily mean how to pilot this or that deck, but rather, how one should look at the game as a whole. Things like thinking a turn ahead, pivoting correctly, playing the statistical advantages, tracking your opponents cards, etc. That foundational knowledge will set you up nicely when the new set drop and we get an entirely new meta game!
Nice follow-up to your Mew2 guide. I love your emphasis on how important it is to know HP breakpoints and how it applies to Water Shuriken, and tracking that discard pile. I hate to use the term 'skill' as it's so overused, but correct Shuriken usage ('skill') is really what sets apart a good Gary deck pilot from a bad one. Keep it up the quality content!

It’s why fighting and lightning decks are popular right now, since they can attack a benched Magi and stop it from evolving
ehhh the powercreep between myhical island and Genetic apex isnt too bad but maybe you're right since next set is a whole different main set instead of just an expansion
I’ve played this deck a lot. It’s good against the EX meta decks, but there is a shift in the meta at the moment where people start playing all basics. Gary is great vs mewtwo, celebi, pika etc but loses its advantage vs the new golem for example. Even more so if there is a hitmonlee in the deck, which makes evolving impossible.
I've had this concept for a gyarados deck: 2× magicarp 2× gyarados 2× meowth 2× persian 2× druddigon 1× tauros (could be something else) 2× giovanni 2× leaf 1× misti 2× research 2× pokeball
yes you ignored it, there are many gameplay interactions that involve the discard of energy. Is it based on the total amount of energy so there could be benefits for not placing extra energy to have more of a chance to discard the opponent's energy.
You're gonna lose the majority of the games, but don't put magikarp on the bench until greninja kills their hitmonlees. Or if they have a full bench with no hitmonlees you can play magikarp and not KO their stuff till magikarp evolves. This is the best chance you got
Can use some advice. I've been playing for one week. I have 1 Charizard ex, 2 Moltres ex, 2 Exeggutor ex, 2 Mewtwo Ex, 1 Zapdos EX. Which pack should I focus on next? I'm still missing Gardevoir for Mewtwo deck and no Pikachus or Gyarados. Thanks.
@@jamesearlray7343 I actually have 3 Moltres ex and 1 Charazard ex so I would just need the 1 Charazard. I also have 3 immersive Mewtwos but no Ralts or Gardevoir. Crazy how the RNG in this game works lol.

What about Trainers? Picking up 1/2 Leaf from Mew would be good. For GARDE AND RALTS I just realized there's gonna be a Wonder pick Event at the end of January (from 23 to 29) like the Zapdos and Arcanine we already had, so SAVE those hourglasses! For Mewtwo packs the only good cards there are like, Mewtwo and Garde of course, Articuno, Weezing, Koga, Giovanni. And for commons is Ralts, Kirlia, Hitmonlee, Pidgey, Pidgeotto, Jynx, and Tentacool/Cruel cause those are fun cards but yeah, not a lot of Meta cards in it, it's really just Mewtwo. If ya want Venusaur and Gengar too, avoid Marowak, played it for my first deck, it's so incosistent, I'd rather play Aerodactyl. And those are pretty much the best cards i can think of in Mewtwo packs.. Also for Pikachu packs, the best thing is that you can get all Pikachu deck here, if you want, other good cards are Arcanine and Misty. Blastoise can be fun too but in reality it's just a worse Gyarados Charizard packs have most of the good general cards, like Eggs, Starmie, and obviously the Charizard deck, although that one still use Arcanine from Pikachu packs. Mew packs tho have some nice cards, Leaf obviously, Mew can be used as Tech card, Gyarados, Druddigon, Tauros, Marshadow, Aerodactyl, obviously Celebi but- I honestly don't enjoy it anymore, after getting 14 tails in a row during a game :D I'd probably go for Mew packs and get some cards there, use the hourglass for Psychic wonderpick event for Gardevoir, or Pack points. But if you don't wanna build Pikachu deck, then keep opening Mew and Mewtwo packs, it's a shame you also didn't get at least 1 Starmie from Charizard packs tho

you should do the top 5 decks, Mewto+Gyra done. Now Celebi, Pika and Charizard next. (Celebi first cuz it recently got updated with exeggutor)

I would go char. All you need is 1 more moltres. It can take a *really* long time to get 2 gard. Odds are def better u get 1 more molt than 2 gard
