There's a bicycle movement gaining momentum in Thailand. What was originally viewed as the poor person's mode of transportation is now being made cool by a group of young, adventurous Thai people taking racing, health and expression to the streets.

I'm from Holland, where we seriously have more bikes than people, so it's always funny to me to see people in other countries seeing the bike as something special.
We need a bike revolution here in Florida.. It will help with the environment and regulate peoples weight.
We actually need a bike revolution all over the U.S.
Jeremiah T Join Adventure Cycling!!! Its happening.

What’s wrong with my weight?
Ha ha I like, I met a Thai girl in the 1990's and to see how well we would get along I purchased a tandem bike and packed 80lbs of camping gear behind in a single wheel trailer. We did a six month tour through S E Asia. We stay at temples and eat with monks then in the south we camp on islands and beaches. It's coming up on our 20 year anniversary of our epic adventure. We left the bike and trailer in a souther town called Yala maybe it's time to go find it and retrace our trip and see if we can find the same people at the places we stayed it.
samuel Townsend happy days
Nice!! cycling daily in Chiang Mai & loving it :)
love your work!
Nice video, I loved cycling through Thailand, amazing country and even more amazing are the people!
We had a bike Revolution in Toronto as well about 10 years ago, it was called " a bike courier" after the numbers were dwindled down due to stupidity. The only ones left were the ones that really did it for the love if riding..I love the fact that some "live for riding" but it can be life ending when you don't respect others around you. I just hope is doesn't end up like the majority did here, but holding races with no boundaries....well you already know what the outcome will be.
Many cyclist get killed in Thailand. The standard of driving in Thailand is just crazy. Biggest problem is drivers just have to be on mobile phone all the time and don't see anyone or cyclist. Then you have the Kamikaze mini van drivers in the bike lanes.
This is sick!
Vélo iBike Really sick to showcase young hormone inflicted kids riding with no regard to safety. They give general cyclists bad name. Not better than putt putt punks on loud motor cycles. Pretty soon ChiangMai traffic police will get them.
We need this in Bali.
Hell yeah!! \o/
Fantastic work!
I cycled in Thailand 4 years ago, also in and out of Bangkok and I found the motorists attitude not so bad especially the people on motorbikes were usually okay. Always exeptions of course but in general I felt pretty safe.
This is a cool & nice video. Thanks for sharing! :-)
keep it up? how can we find you in CM? or Thailand?
this is awesome! inspires me to get cycling but I know how dangerous the traffic here in Bangkok is, nearly been killed a couple of times on the scooter... some people just don't pay attention on the roads.
Super cool video! :)
Awesome :D Cycling FTW!
Respect! =D Keep it up, making the world a better place :P
Going to bring my bike when I come Thailand
Love the shoes.
Omg, is that long uphill road the road that leads to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep? I was there once on a motorbike, and was thoroughly impressed by those who cycled!
I love 'All Points'!
We need a bike revolution in every city
Cycling in CM is great!
Makes me want to get out and ride my bike as fast as possible.
What's the name of the song? Thanks!
Wicked cool video
เจ๋ง!!!! ขอให้เกิดขึ้นจริงเถิด!!!! =w=
His English is excellent.
aaaaah they filmed in Chiang Mai. That city is great, specifically the old city. When I went there I took pictures of the local graffiti and street art, a few of which were of cyclists with the text "Fuck Cars" and "Ride or Stay Fat". Now I know the context, and it's great 😁👍
Live according to your thoughts! :)
Haha, a near death experience. Yep, that's riding a bicycle in Thailand!
a better end perhaps but everything else is great. and a major point w biking or walking a lot or riding the bus is if it's a choice or not. if you choose to walk most places ur happy, samething with biking. but if ur forced to walk places or bike bc ur poor ull probably hate doing it for awhile at least.
ทุกคนสุดยอดครับ :')
The attitude of car drivers in Thailand is definitely not easy going!!!! And the way motorcyclists drive is suicidal... lunatics!! I am a cyclist in Bangkok and given the intolerant behaviour of car drivers and motorcyclists cycling is very risky!
melbourne is worse.
We have similar people all over the world. When everyone rode bicycles the rich will show off their motorbike or cars because they could afford them. Now when almost everyone can afford a motorbike or a car the rich again show off but this time buying costly bikes and preaching the benefits of cycling.
it looks like in ChingMai, cycling in ChingMai not very good, too many cars ,narrow road, but in other place of thailand i think cycling is excellent good , the people is friendly , and road have a bicycle/motobike line, and no traveller price
Dude, that stem height is freaking stupid. If I saw my bike mechanic riding that, I would switch shops immediately.
When people stop walking and start biking the landfills start filling up with used rubber tires.
Walking is too slow. People will either bike or drive and biking is still the much more green option.
Good video but Chiangmai is the biking place in Thailand,BKK sucks.
This video is in Chiang mai :)
