This was cool, binged watched all 15, keep them coming, show some of the more comonly found edibles, i know those are boring, but they're interesting to me because I'm clueless.
Hi... I found a number of these mushrooms (I know that is rare!). I know these are supposed to be choice edibles... but the caps of the ones I found are dry and leathery... sort of like a think paper bag. Is this typical or was I just too late in finding them and they are just too old? Thanks!
Great video 👍
Thank you for sharing ☺️
Very cool thanks!
Always good to see a new video from you!
I hope to do much better things this coming season. Thank you for your encouragement
Very cool can you use it for a die to stain things
Not this one but there are a couple polypores that are used to make dye
I'm a fairly competent forager, but I tend to stick to the basic mushrooms.
What a lovely Boletus, thanks for sharing.
Wow it’s like blood when it hits air that’s amazing
Thank you

I'd love to find one of them, but like most boletes I find ,they're all ate up when I do.lol.
The beetle grubs and slugs really do seem to find them fast . Chanterelle too.

@@cjmutschler they are not a high moisture mushroom. Quite delicious
@@FoundYouForaging OK... thanks! I wasn't sure if I was supposed to remove that leathery cap skin or not. Sounds like no.
@cjmutschler with suillus species I remove skin and pores from cap . Gyroporus cyanescens and G.borialis the pores are kept and stem discarded .
