I watched a podcast regarding pretreating t-shirts. the procedure is press shirt to flatten fibers and remove wrinkles. apply pretreat fluid. Put shirt back in press for thirty seconds and then another 30 seconds to completely dry. Print shirt. Then heat press to cure ink.
When pretreat fluid is applied and shirt is wet, is it possible to dry several shirts in a clothes dryer rather than repressing the shirt?

So DTG is for those who use the large production printers? I only use a heat press, so sourcing DTF sheets seems like the no brainer for now.
For more custom designs down the road--at higher volume and straight from a digital file--sounds like DTG is more efficient. Is that accurate (ish)?

Not exactly. DTF is actually very good at high production and much faster than DTG would be at scale. DTG is also limiting in a way b/c you need to have pre-treated shirts or you need to pre-treat them yourself unless they are white. The industry is actually moving away from DTG for this reason. However, if you are not going to print everyday I would not recommend a DTF printer to you I would recommend that you outsource DTF transfers.
