I wonder if anyon in Hong Kong has such strong billingual languae skills... Ask former HK governor David Wilson to speak Mandarin to the level of Chip Tsao's spoken English.... But I am sure that with Wilson's poor Mandarin, Hon Kong people will give a big "like" to him while belittling Chip's good English...
Of course, he is not native, as he is speaking some kind of Queen's/old-style standard English, which is free from any regional accent. In Britain, there are over 25 regional accents, and a lot of native accents like Geordie and Cockney are very difficult to understand for American natives.
He said that writing simple English is easy and accessible to every reader...s.... I think he has been staying in Hongkong for too long and has no chance to speak English for some time.
@VictorDanDan he said "easily accessible to AVERAGE readers"
good

"Prufundity of the engrish"
+Dylan Uno It is just a matter of getting use to.
@0oTCYSo0 對
prolegpw, Learning vocabulary can be fun and that's why you should not "study" English in HK.
+mrsmimimomo There are lots of ways in making learning vocabulary fun.
