I bought one of these 18 months ago with 1 spare blade, a litre of chain oil and a fancy Stihl sharpener to top 8 conifers, it coped with them quite well. A year later it tackled two quite large logs I cut into rings before axing it was sharpened for this as it had become dull. Dug it out again to prune a hedge ladt weekend and after 6 cuts it died with a puff of smoke. I still have 1/3 of the oil left, 1 unused chain and the original chain that has been sharpened once. It cost me over £100 + the odds and sods. I expected more from Ryobi as I have been using some of their 18v battery tools for well over 5 years without any issues. Pay the extra and get a small Stihl or Husky as they will out live a bottle of chain oil.
