- i noticed when searching youtube I had a hard time finding something that fit my needs when learning how to curl my wigs... over the years I've tried various things and am always learning but jsut figured why not share what's been working for me with anyone else interested.

Does this method set the curl then, so that once washed; the beach wave will come back? Or will it revert to the original style of the wig??

Thanks for all the info! I was about to buy some wig heat protector but you make a good point about product weighing the wig down. Guess I have to go buy a wig steamer now.

What the curling iron on? you can do the same thing if you wet the hair and use the curling iron it will steam and you don't need the steamer. I use the steamer if I use the bendable curlers and use end papers to stop snags at the end of the fibers.....just different way to get the same effect....also the curling iron can make the fibers on the hard side so I use conditioner in the steamer or in a water bottle thanks for the video....

Use a synthetic wig wash and synthetic light conditioner, don’t scrub or gather hair. Wash in a downward motion . Air dry,Brush from ends to mid shaft. There are synthetic leave in conditioner and fiber softeners. Style as directed...

Quick question: how long does this last? For example, is the curl pattern set in the way it would be if you curled the wig using boiling water? Or, it is more like natural hair where if you brush it out the curl will eventually disappear completely?
How long do you hold it after steaming to feet it formed? I have non heat friendly with a wig.
When you steam the curl how long do you leave the curl around the barrel?

Wow, You did an amazing job !!!!! I’m new to the wig world and I’m finding it so hard to style these wigs out of the box. I just bought Arrow by Ellen Wille (not heat friendly) and her wave pattern is horrible, nothing like I saw in all the videos of her. She’s a total face flopper and her side waves are denting inward at ear level if that makes sense, it’s so unflattering!!! Maybe it’s box hair which I’ve been reading about. I did hang her upside down for a day hoping it might help but it did nothing. Do you have any suggestions that could help this? I’m just so afraid to do anything to her because I literally have no clue what I’m doing. After watching so many videos I somewhat knew transitioning to a wig wasn’t going to be easy but I thought choosing the wig and color would be the hardest part. I’d pick a wig, order it and when it arrived I’d just plop it on my head and it would fall into place and I’d be out the door, man oh man was I wrong!!!! …..Anyway, thankyou so much for reading, any tips or tricks you could give me would be soooo appreciated!!!! again, I love what you did to your wig, she’s gorgeous ! What if you don’t have a steamer or curling iron???
All I have is ceramic flat iron
Make your own steam by basically getting a spray water bottle, and a curling iron that is set to the lowest setting. Then pin curl it. Do it for each one,blet it dry completely (hanging)...then take them out! Good luck!
