How Easy Are Solo Raids? New Player Tries Solo Kayangel in Lost Ark

- With the release of Solo Raids in the Western Lost Ark, I wanted to test how easy a New or Returning Player will deal with these raids, essentially blind. My friend Mark was brought back after a 2-year hiatus after failing to complete Vykas on release to perform this test. I will sit in a call with him calling out mechanics and recording the time and deaths taken to get the clear. This episode, Kayangel.
We are using a barebones kit provided by the game and he doesn't know his rotation, but he is on ilevel for the raid, 1540 (the point at which gold honing starts so a good place to park and test the raids for new players likely start point). He is also playing a blue gunlancer, which wasn't intended, that provides significant cheese ability to the mechanics. So follow along as we test the average new player to Lost Ark try these Solo Raids.

Would love him to rerun all of the raids on anything BUT a gunlancer, all raids have been massively cheesed because of his anti knockback cuz of his Z. And you should give him no tips see how much he remembers and can improve c:
I think my only gripe with the series is that its on GL, he's able to condense hours of mistakes and learning on gates because of the shield and push immunity which isn't remotely realistic for an across the board experience for everyone. I just don't know how likely folks would want to see him re run this all again. But express servers are arriving in a bit...
I love the series. I also don't have an issue with the gunlancer.its a legit playstyle for blue. He is trading up damage for utility and comfortability. Not everyone needs to sweat and try to parse big numbers.
Just recently got back into the game with solo raids as well and this series has been fun to watch alongside my own progression. I just started learning Akkan g3 so I'm excited to see that video when it drops!
I told him lantern on g2 will be fun, he has no idea what i'm talking about aha

Maybe, but seeing how he couldn’t figure out how to hit the side on clown g1 or which was the face on Brel g1, lantern might be a glorious 5 death blockade minimum lol
I am re-downloading Lost ark due to them bring out solo mode for raids, I used to like raids but at one point players got worst with the way they treat people, this meant to be a game and fun so this will give people a chance to enjoy the game without upsetting people

@@IntoTheCrawlspace Hey I was able to do hard Valton in the first run luckily I remember how to do it XD not played in like a year but my scrapper was 1543 so I was over the Level by a bit but I will watch the other vids to understand the other raids. thank you

@@IntoTheCrawlspace yeah Im a come back player, I bought 3 power pass just only to figure out which class I want to play 😂, I wish they just would make lower abyss raid solo mode too, since I’m so bad I don’t want to make other suffer in party mode haha
all of them or just a specific? weekly abyssals allows you to run one of the first 3 with a group to no hassle to them, they would likely prefer it. IF u mean ocean, oreha or argos, yeah I don't know why they didn't make those accessible with this ( well besides the glaring it requires resources). Ocean one is considered a very fun one but its tier 2 so no reason to run it unfortunately :(
How much gold it gives per boss ?

God I hate the raids in this game. 2:40 is a prime example with that spacebar mechanic where you just randomly started screaming "fill, fill, fill!". How is anyone supposed to know what to do there without a guide? Just watching this I have no idea what was even happening.
As someone who has done all the raids except Vykas and Echidna blind, it's best if you can get a recording of it. You will probably die the first time unless you were spamming hard and the next one was a black. But once you try a few times you will find that your shield goes away once you fill the space bar and the blue/white will still damage you if the shield is gone and the black will kill you if you are still in your shield. Things like there being 4 maximum waves and it has to be one of them we didn't find out until after when we watched a guide. Kayangel was by far our fastest blind clear, followed by Ivory Tower then Valtan.
i've tried all the solo raids and akkan was the only sucks raid especially gate 2
the lanterns shadow? or the juggling of the skull?
@@IntoTheCrawlspace the lantern shadow sometime start at the edge of the map or some awkward place
Most people will dislike this raid specifically for how annoying this mech can be, especially on high ping. eventually you will get to a point that you can auto pilot it, but still in those moments you will be safe yet somehow get frozen...
@@IntoTheCrawlspace i can easily do it if he start the mech normally in the middle, but if he do it at the edge or some awkward place it become super hard

They did a poor job a solo mode
This is so stupid series, would appreciate it way more if it's really new player tries solo and not new player tries solo while having experienced player constantly telling me what to do step by step ...sorry but that is a no from me but hey other might like this format
Every new player should watch guid on YT or Maxroll if wont to do any raid. This series is fun and help understend some mech im raids. I cant wait for Ivory Tower😂 Good luck with honing
