  • One family in Singapore goes on food rescue missions almost every day. Another goes on weekly bread or pastry rescues in an effort to save unwanted food. We followed them on their missions to see edible food put to good use and redistributed to those willing to look past best-before dates. Read more: cna.asia/3J4G1O0

This is what it's all about. Humanity makes me lose face on a daily basis because we are some really silly people. And then I see stories like this, and all is good.
Blessings to these wonderful families. I'm trying to find a local shelter to volunteer at myself, in my community. Sadly, that's a lost thing in my country. God bless to all.

Community Centres are good venues for this good cause. Volunteers can be sought to help. Hdb estates will certainly welcome. Unfortunately, the grass roots folks are not interested because they make no money.😊😊😊

There are simply too much food & never short of donations in Singapore. While doing volunteer work, there are families insisted on particular brand of rice; A social services manager told us that they have to put certain merchants' donations on hold, cos they have more than what they needed; A soup kitchen operator let the donated food lying around & always have leftover food that they have to ask the staff & volunteers to bring home...
