One of the best country surprises from 1970-1980's

I hadn't listened to these guys for years when I came across a greatest hits CD. Once I started listening, I couldn't stop. These 2 really made great country music.

The harmony of their voices is so delicious. I never tire of listening to these two.

Great father/daughter duo from the burbs of St. Louis. Larry Kingston wrote one the greatest plays on words ever. Nobody could sing this but Royce and his daughter Jeanie.

Anyone know what the band's name was?
    I assume "The Stealers".
Anyone miss when country back up bands had names?
The Buckaroos, The Strangers, The Jones Boys, The Cherokee Cowboys, The Drifting Cowboys.
    They had imagination.
Now you get stuff like "The Garth Brooks band".
Was having your name on the Marquee not enough Garth?

Kathy Mattea's band was called "Monster Tractor Pull"... because one day they pulled into a County Fair and saw a sign that said "Tonight... Kathy Mattea and Monster Tractor Pull"!
