I had an accident on the highway @130 kph in a 2008 Yaris 3 days ago, and it saved my life. Front left tyre exploded thus i crashed immediately on the left barrier then the car went spining towards the right side and crashed again, the car absorbed well both shocks, a pretty safe car for that era 👌🏻

Toyota is producing the best build cars for the lower budget in the world. If you know how to drive and you care a little about the machine you won`t kill one of these cars. @215: the old 1.9 TDI was really hard to kill. But from about 2001 to 2008 VW used Unit Injector TDI machines (at least in europe they did). There were many problems with this engines. Two years ago, the started use common rail engines, they bought the rights for the technologie from the psa concern (Citröen/Peugeot).
@dsito2 Toyota is overall better as the Polo, crash test is not all toyota has better engines and is more reliable. Polo is a tractor with theyr new 3 cyl diesel engines , they make an auful clanky noise, horrible

Some people I know ride it, and after 120 000 km it sounds like a tractor
