The year is 1908. Teddy Roosevelt wins the election in a landslide, one of the biggest in American history. And as black gold flows over Kentucky all the way down to Louisiana, Standard Oil starts overreaching. Ida Tarbell goes down to help catalog the way Standard Oil circumvented anti-trust laws but this time, she has the government behind her. James Rudolph Garfield, Roosevelt's Secretary of Interior, was following Ida Tarbell's reporting and finally, there's enough to drag Standard before the courts. But will it be enough to break up these gigantic titans? Or is Teddy going to need something a little stronger?

Wow, if that story about Roosevelt "taking corporate donations because otherwise people would think he's corrupt" (and then immediately betraying his donors) is true, that's one ganster move. And of course most politicians would be way too opportunist to not give back favors (because if he had cooperated with Standard, they could have used their sway over Congress to help him elsewhere).

I would like to add that another possible reason why Rockefeller decided to turn himself in was because he learned while on the run that his grandson had just been born, and relenting on his past life, he didn't want to a grandfather who abandoned a grandson that he would never have gotten to know, like how his father abandoned him and his mother.
