I have an autoimune disorder that tries to make me feel so sick and one thing that helps to have a normal day is listening to classical rock and blues music. So I would guess that the departed musicians are encouraging me to hang on and try to have an enjoyable day..I can sometimes have goosebumps as I listen and I feel like I'm being healed if ony for a little while. Thanks guys for helping out. Until we meet again.
Proving forever Greg that music above all else is the universal language of healing. We are all suffering something perhaps large or small, but in the end music will carry that suffering away even for a little while. Like you I always turn back to classic rock to make things better- always have, always will. Much luck to you brother and keep listening.
*I was also lucky!* I saw Robbie & Ray in a small club (Las Vegas casino, before their world tour); I got there early. I was standing feet away while Robbie played his iconic riffs. It was amazing what sounds he got from his Gibson SG & Fender Deluxe Amp. The singer was Ian Astbury from the Cure in 2002. It was a practice run of the setlist songs; I remembered when Ray stopped in the middle of "Touch Me. He complained about the intro and had them do it again.
I have had a bad stomach virus for 7 days, I am knackered. I found the video by chance and I could think about something else for 8minutes and 33 seconds, dream a little. Thank you old and new hippies.
As more and more years pass I've come to see Riders as their signature song, their most special one, one of those "gift to the world" songs. They might be recognized more for others like Light My Fire or Love Her Madly (or Break on Through or People are Strange for that matter), and rightfully so, but Riders is really the one The Doors were all about that sets them apart.
4:00 in Robby is soooo tasty! man its so cool to see him get in that zone and land his notes just like only he can... love it ! 2021!! Jam on Robby ! Do IT Do IT Robby!
Seen Robby at the whisky a go go a few weeks ago watching an 80s David bowie tribute band. After obsessing about the doors with the history of the whisky a few weeks prior the chances of him being there that night just blew my mind! It sure was a cool experience seeing him there! I will never forget my Michigan to LA experience.
There'ain't about 4 years i started To play bass guitar, after singin' rock and blues for 46 years, what a good good rythme To play, for a beginner i think! Thank's a lot for your Nice version.from Nantes France.
Hey robby thanks for the beautiful music man I also grew up in venice ca. from 1960 the year I was born until 1980, who knows maybe I walk by you guys the doors in venice a great time growing up in venice my first album was waiting for the sun has the album for years now 🎶🤙
Muchas gracias Robbie y a The Doors. Excelente tema musical. Se ha escuchado por más de 50 años y lo seguirán escuchando los amantes del Rock. El Rock no morirá nunca.
Thank you, Robby, for all the great songs by the Doors back when I was much younger. Lost Jim when i was 19. Ray when I was 50. Always remember how he stopped and paused when telling how he played keyboards and on what in several of the Doors songs in his book "light my fire". "Practice practice practice". God Bless you and your loved ones.
It's amazing seeing Robbie Krieger perform this song live because it's absolutely wonderful. His guitar work is incredibly awesome. Without his guitar work this song wouldn't have been possible. The recording company didn't think much of this song because someone made the comment it was cocktail music. But they were wrong because this song always stood out.
Robbie Krieger still got that Doors touch. In fact his guitar playing on this song is much better than the original recording. RIP Jim Morrison and Ray Manzerak. Thanks for your contribution to the Doors memories and songs!
Still an all time classic full of atmosphere and menace - "his brain is squirming like a toad" ! Try listening on a dark and stormy night with the lights off. It will make your hair stand on end. Magnificent.
Jim MORRISON WAS A GREAT singer OF THE DOORS this is ONE OF THEM AND i HAVE A CF THE DOORS AND it's GREAT music REST in PEACE Jim MORRISON YOU WERE A GREAT singer

The last song The Doors ever recorded was "Riders on the Storm". "Jim (Morrison) finished the vocals and left for Paris", states Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek, that was the last song I ever heard him sing, and the last time I ever saw my friend alive. Source: ticketmaster ie

I had the good fortune of seeing The Doors play live in 1967 and 1968. Robbie still has it and is the reason I am a guitar player today.
You are one lucky dude!

Epic!
They were such a seminal band. My favourite Doors track.

The _Riders in the Sky_ anecdote is priceless.
It's remarks like Krieger's which could get the Riders in the sky publisher to phone their lawyer.
Around 57 years ago (1965) the Doors seed was planted and it became the biggest most beautiful and much loved tree.
Most lovely song by Morrison. From Moscow. With love. PS “The end” too, yep.
Nice to see Robbie alive and well and still playing his craft.... And a cool band jam......🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎸🎸🎸🎸🎹🎹🎹🎹😎🌹🌹🌹🔥🔥
agree 100%
Gods gift to those of us who will never let go of real music.
REAL MUSIC are the key words here.
Well said and right on point. Our generation had the best music ever.
This song on a rainy afternoon just works for me. 50 years ago, now and beyond!
Yes, thats the best time. Woth thunders and lightnings. It makes it atmosphere perfect. And I love rain and fog. I know the most call me a sick guy 😆
What an amazing treat to see the legendary Robby K play live some of The Doors greatest songs. Thanks for all the beautiful music!

Fantastic , Robby still has the magic in his fingers to keep on Rocking them Blues ..
Thank God for The Doors... Robby's playing hasn't changed...still melodic, subtle and hypnotizing.
This song always takes me back down memory lane. I thoroughly enjoyed the performance.
One of my favourite songs of all time! I think its better without horns....the sense of loneliness and isolation of the original is the benchmark.
Forget the brass tones
It's real pure rock with horns or without horn
Saw these guys at the "Sky-Loft" in Albany NY! It was so Great!
Great to see Robbie out there still playing well and sharing such a classic track with a bunch of guys who did a stellar job recreating the magic.
'' Riders on the storm ''. L'ultime beauté des Doors. 🙏🍷😎

This is really good actually. The Doors will forever haunt my mind and ears. ❤️ Lots of love to Robby. RIP Jim and Ray
Ghost Riders in the Sky inspired Riders on the Storm? Completely different song and feeling. Amazing! I never would’ve guessed it. 😮😊

Must be fantastic to jam with Robbie..
I bet he's playing here with one of the guitar he was using while in the Doors ..
That would be his Gibson SG...
Robby has still got it!
Great performance! The horn section did add a new layer of depth to the song for sure! Robby brilliant as always!
Totally agree.
Essa é uma das melhores músicas dos Doors.
Da notare l'assolo guitar di robby a 3.15...molto ben fatto!!! Ethan you Robby
