The abandoned NATO radar base is awesome. The bus graveyard is also awesome, but also really weird. Excellent find with that hospital bunker. I like that weird tram junction. Love the animals for the floors in the lift. The ferry could have also been for coaches. Edit: I knew I'd forgotten something - Fantastic colourful train station roof.
Sad you couldnt visit more if the Brussels tunnels. It have so many secrets to discover. Belgium has increased the surveillance of its railway tunnels due to several incidents of intruders being killed while walking in .
Well, yep you are right. gen2 are chasisles and logic is complicated but its really safe. Like the safety lock at the doors. when you safetybreak one it stops instantly no matter how much speed its going at. 2- some gen2 has chasis and if there is enough money spend on them, you can get a pretty safe and somewhat reliable lift. 8:37 thats called "MMR" which means mini machine room. 12:20 its only 2 stops i dont think they need a 5500 for that
I am not sure. The video file file is very big. And I don't want to pay more for hosting. There needs to be a way to get my train surf videos online, but without using some very questionable video hosting website that is full of conspiracy and nasty accident videos.
Thanks to the war criminal, I can't afford to go there. The air space restrictions have made the flights a lot longer, so more expensive, plus the fuel cost has made the flights expensive. Flights have doubled in price to this part of the world.
The Tim Traveler made 2 interesting videos on the charleroi metro and delved in on why it has a line that was completed but abandoned before it opened and why the metro has a crossover on the abandoned line that switches the the side they run on
Yes, that is a good way to tell if there were people in the building recently. But on top of that I could smell that there were people currently in the building as I was going around it. I have a very good sense of smell.

I can't afford the petrol to drive that far, plus the public transport and hotels are very cheap there, so I might as well go by plane and travel around using the railways. Road trips are good for places with overpriced hotels such as France, Belgium, Netherlands and UK
@@benoliftsof the East Anglia places I've visited, I would say Norwich and Cambridge are the best, with a beautiful old town and good public transport systems (Cambridge has the Busway)! Kings Lynn also is quite nice, so is Peterborough, Wisbech is ok, but I wouldn't really bother with Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, nothing of interest there
@@benolifts 'cos the last video I watched he explained how he'd achieved everything in terms of TH-cam content and was ready to move on. Thankfully that doesn't appear to be the case.

2:37 That’s the OTIS Gen2 Life
Do you have a link to your other channel

I didn't realize that was the reason for the cameras. I assumed it was to stop graff

would it be possible to upload the video of the tram surf on your website? if there's a file size limit I could probably host it for you.

One question, will you visit Hong Kong again?

@@benolifts that sucks
ESPL = Esplanade - Were you near the Esplanade in Brussels?
ESPL = Esplanade. REZ = rez de chaussée (ground floor). Also, that station looks way too good and functional to be Soviet lol.
Do transport stuff Stratford - Enfield Lock anything in between there
Fun to see as always!
Do just say on the lift have a smashed window on the doors
44:18 safety brake
I love Bruges and Antwerp ❤
The lighting in that tram tunnel looked stunning too. Low pressure sodium/SOX lighting.
Now that’s a long video, even longer than the Gatwick lift tour video you uploaded nearly a decade ago.
Have you ever thought about surfing a freight train?

I imagine ESPL is esplanade

Belgium is a great country with amazing places to explore and the buildings that are so nice. And of course Belgium Chocolate.
You should do a road trip to Poland

@@benolifts Ok, another suggestion is doing a road trip around East Anglia like cambridge, Norwich, Ipswich haven’t seen you there in a while
I haven't been that way for a long time. Is there anything of interest there. Could be an area worth visiting

Fun fact: The correct way to pronounce 'rez-de-chaussée' (ground floor) is 'reh deh chau-seh.'
Beno can you return to the Netherlands? And visit the city Arnhem?
