Can’t beat a old Ford like that smiles per miles or smiles for miles truly one of the greats, it’s the kind of car as your walking down the street and you see one driving/ parked and you can’t take your eyes off it and the more you look the more you smile.

Best review I’ve seen of one of these. Your real genuine love for these shines through loud and clear! I feel the same way about Mk2 Escorts… especially RS2000s. My dad was obsessed with them. Used to buy £150 Mk2 shells from the scrapyard and do them up. Last one I had was a Harrier which I sold 20yrs ago. Can’t afford one now 😢

I have very fond memories of these working class heroes, I wanted one so bad it hurt but as a man in his 20s during the 90s the insurance meant I had to slum it an Astra GTE 16v, even that meant I had to take a second paper round to insure it🤣
Imagine number of paper rounds you’d need now eh!
I have a 2.0 dohc sapphire. Everything has been changed in my ownership apart from the engine and rear window, and every time I take it out , it's constant jizz face on high revs 😂 absolute dream car for me. But I'll probably never have the money for a cosworth. And you know what, I don't even mind 😁 it's all about the looks, nothing beats retro fords

i am the ultimate cossie fan, love the 3 doors but always prefer the saph. we all had them 20 years ago, a white rwd saph was bought for 1800 quid back then. driven loads of the,, and i always say the same as you, give me a cossie over any modern german crap. awesome video.
best car ever owned escort cossie running 364bhp... sold 15yrs ago(massive mistake) 90's spec working class concours rs turbo, rosso red, 2l zetec bottom end, 252bhp @ 24psi.... loved that car they were the best fords I've ever owned, had the privilege of owning.....

Personally if I was having a fast ford, it would be a 2 door mk1 escort, with metal bubble arches, all the rally bits but with full interior. And then I'd plonk that lovely YB turbo engine in there aiming for under 300bhp.

I've now got a 600 bhp Evo 9 that I've owned for 14 years and been thinking of selling it the last couple of year's but I haven't as I keep thinking I'll regret it like the cossie .

It’s crazy, back in 2002 which feels like 5yrs ago I bought a stage 3 moonstone blue car , quaiffe diff and big brakes all then all the usual stuff, I paid £6500 for the car and sold it 4yrs later for £7500. Sold it for a black 3 door and my eyes water thinking of the prices.
My mum had a Fiesta Supersport, XR2 and XR2i and my dad had two V6 Capris and two V6 Granadas. I had a Fiesta Zetec S which I bought off my brother. My dad also used to rally his Escort Mexico.

@@CJK20 favourite was probably the Granada Scorpio or the XR2i but they were all pretty good in their own way. My sister never forgave my dad for selling the 'red Fiesta' (Supersport)

330-350 isnt stage 3. Stage 1 is around 270, stage 2 is called the 330 trim which is what this has. Stage 3 is bigger turbo etc and will give you 400-450hp

It's a Garrett t3, standard 2wd drive turbo. 320 hp max with the 803 " green injectors ".

@@andrewwright. twin scroll Borg Warner is still the turbo of choice for the YB now I think, but you need an exhaust manifold to match, big injectors and possibly a stand a lone management system. It gets expensive quickly.
