I have had one of the Gorilla Glass windshields on ‘16 JK for almost 2 years. I got mine from the dealer in WA state. It lasted for a year of abuse without a scratch. The window cracked after a semi threw a huge bolt a me on the driver side. It sounded like a gunshot and looked like a Boulder. It had a small chip and then spread a bit but if not for the Gorilla Glass the bolt would have come through the window and hit me in the face. Don’t want to think what might have been. The dealer warranties the windshield with no issue. Jus t showed them the receipt and install paperwork. Thousands of freeway miles later I still have no chips or cracks. It was worth every penny to have it done. If you need a new windshield don’t hesitate and just buy this one!! You will not regret it. The idea of soft top windows out of this is super cool! I will be keeping an eye out for this item. Thanks Litebrite! Oh, and GO HAWKS #12’s 4-0!!!!
Broke my windshield within the first month of ownership-hadn’t even gotten it off road at the time. Been waiting for this and glad I did! Y’all, I’ve saved hundreds and hundreds of dollars through E3 Offroad since May. Thank you so much! I feel like I should do a bumper to bumper breakdown of what I saved.

Finally, that is something that always made me wonder why jeep just keeps using those crappie windshields over and over again, finally someone done something about it
Just got mine installed two days ago on my JLU, looks amazing, awesome discount, quick shipping, a real pleasure ordering and speaking with HGP over the phone
on delivery my jeep was driven from n.c. to sw fla for delivery when I went to pick it up there was a crack at 300 miles Now I see gorilla glass is an upgrade if your buying a new jeep get it !!!!
I was at a dealership last weekend and I pointed out to the salesman that the windshield was cracked on the brand new Rubicon I was test driving. He told me they had 4 others just like it. Apparently, they don't even need to get hit by anything to crack, just sitting on the lot under the sun is enough to do them in.
Oh thank you jesus! 2020 is not a total loss. Have a 2018 JLU and have changed my windshield 6 times and need to change again due to 2 new cracks. Traveling from Allen to Dallas every day on 75 kills my windshields.
Get a film installed, been running for over a year and mostly highway miles to get to my wheeling stuff. I've taken a number of hits and the film takes it and has saved my glass, i can't count how many times.
You guys just saved my life, my windshield cracked for the 2nd time and insurance wants a 500$ deductible for a 3rd party weak windshield so i’m definitely going for this.
Spent the week in Moab knocking out a half dozen badge of honor trails without a scratch only to crack the windshield trailering the Jeep back home. HGP replacement ordered using the promo code in the video. Thanks!
I feel really lucky with my stock 2018 JL windshield, I've taken lots of hits from rocks and until about a month ago none of them chipped the windshield. The chip I got a month ago still has not spread, when it does though and comes time to replace I'm glad there is a Gorilla Glass replacement!
I think it’s Chrysler LLC across the board cause my old man has a 2020 Ram 1500 and the windshield SUCKS and it’s almost $1,000 to replace and for WHAT?! Tiny chip in the lower left section and it spread instantly, it’s horrible. This is awesome
I couldn’t be more excited for someone else getting a windshield than I am now lol . That’s awesome I will definitely recommend it to all my jeep peeps . 😁
That is soooo awesome....your gonna be able to go anywhere and see very clearly...Jelly was awesome @ the beginning. Egarly awaiting the next video...Safe travels
Talk about perfect timing. My second JL windshield cracked last week and I have an appointment to get it replaced this Friday. Just ordered the HGP glass. If it works as advertised it will be well worth the extra $$$!
Let us know for sure! It can still chip and crack but it shouldn’t spread and you should have no problems having it repaired for free from insurance. Keep us updated
I bought one of those HPG Windshields for my 2018 Rubicon, And within 1 month and a half the first rock that hit it on the way to work cracked the windshield bad! Not just a starfish crack but a 12" crack!!
Work for a glass company in Texas do gorilla Glass all the time and it breaks all the time you will need that 2-year warranty guaranteed and you're probably going to pay about $800 and up
SWEET! Thanks for the video. Thanks for the discount. Y'all are the best. Hopefully I won't need it for a year or so. I replaced 3 months ago. I forgotten to latch my hood. LOL! Ride with GOD, Have fun & be Blessed.
The problem with using aftermarket glass in newer jeeps with camera systems, is that the camera needs to be calibrated once the windshield is installed. In my experience after using after market windshields it wrecks your adaptive cruise control because of the camera system shooting though differnt glass
Good luck with that! I have had gorilla glass whidshield for about a year. In the first 4 months we suffered 2 rock chips. NOT WHAT THEY ARE CRACKED UP TO BE. PUN INDENDED! By the way I took it my installer for a new windshield and Corning said to go pound sand. They are warranted for breaks but not chips. Sorry folks don't waist your money.
Have you ever heard of youtube.... type in this is how Gorilla Glass is made" or how is it made. Really... Well Grumpy probably indicates why youtube didnt just send it to your inbox because you were thinking about it.
@@whocares7111 Oh, I know there are videos, I even know how tempered and layered glass is made which is what Gorilla Glass basically is. - But - It would still be nice content for their channel, and it would give the makers of the new windshield some more exposure, thus hopefully making more Jeep drivers aware of it, which would be a good thing for both the company and the Jeep drivers. Plus, LiteBrite have made some pretty neat factory tours of other companies already, I think they would do a great job at Gorilla Glass too. 😀
I don't know, over 2.5 years on my JL, no problems. I did read somewhere that if the four bolts that hold the windshield aren't tight, it could allow the windshield frame to twist just enough.
I have replaced countless jeep windshields with aftermarket, OE, OEM and Gorilla Glass. And they all break. Sure gorilla can take a bit more beating but in the end it will cost you a whole lot more to replace and their warranty department is hard to reach and hear back from them. Glass is glass and will break. So many factors that take into place than just the glass. Speed, size, angle and type of material hitting your windshield are all factors. Had a customer call back within a month that had a gorilla glass installed and break. Never heard back from Gorilla so we stood by our customer and did the job overs at no cost. Terrible warranty department from our experience.
My first Jeep was a used 2003. During the FIRST test drive about a block from the dealer a truck threw up a rock and chipped the wind shield! It was low center on passenger side. It stayed just a chip for about a year and then it spread across and up the center. Finally I had to buy a new one and when I saw how clear and clean the new one was I realized how many tiny chips were in the old one!!!! Wake up Jeep GET BETTER GLASS. For the price you charge you should put Gorilla glass all the way around 😎🇺🇸
Rented a Jeep for some off-roading in CO - first time driving a Jeep for me. Rental Company asked if I wanted the extra windshield insurance. Normally I decline extras like this, but something in my head made me say yes. After a couple days on rough trails the windshield broke a mile from the shop where I rented it. I swear it was a tiny pebble. The owner of the rental place was inspecting the returns when I pulled up and I could see the big smile on his face when he saw the crack in the glass. “Did you get the insurance?” he asked. His smile turned into a 4 letter word after I said yes and tossed him the keys. Seriously though, neither of us should have too pay for glass that breaks so easily.
I’ve gotten lucky with my windshield so far. I’ve gone 15000 km so far and one of those was a road trip on gravel through the mountains. But I can tel me luck will only last so long
Since using the ceramic nano coating on my windshield I haven’t had a crack in two years in my JL. The original factory windshield cracked in first two weeks.
Oh you mean Rock Chips are not a factory option!? I've had them on all my Wranglers from my Yj, Tj, JK and this awesome option just showed up on my JT this morning! Haha.
When my windshield cracked on my JK I had called 4 different auto glass repair shops and none of them knew what gorilla glass was and thought I was crazy. There's been gorilla glass out for JK's for years but I can't believe that professional glass repair shops have never heard of it. Anyways all four of them got into arguments with me saying there's no such thing and they refused to let me help them find it. And none of them wanted to install glass I purchased. Must be nice having a business like that, apparently they make so much money that they can afford to turn customers away due to their own ignorance.
Back in 94 I had bought a new Toyota truck. Cracked the window shield and the same day I had it replaces I got a rock chip. Just couldn’t win with the glass on that truck. No issues besides that
Can you sew through this glass. I do upholstery so can I take out the plastic and put this glass in.. ps I just got done putting in a new window in today. This has been my 4th since I have owned the jeep
It's not just Jeep windshields, what you're missing is that it's because all perfectly flat windshields suffer this. 99% of other windshields out there are convex and that curve more than triples the strength of normal windshields. If that doesn't make sense, think of something like the Hoover Dam, if it was a straight line it would've blown immediately, the curve is why it handles the pressure, same concept. Jeep hasn't changed the flat design because of functionality, believe it or not some people do actually lay the windshield down (my self included on occasion). It helps the roll bar situation a ton and makes the windshield movement possible so it's not just for nostalgia. Next time you go on a 2/3 day cramping/ wheeling trip, try laying it down, it's pretty awesome and makes a bigger difference than one world think.
guess so far I'm lucky! just hit 11k on the JT but I really don'r "rock climb" or really stress the frame or get in to loose rocks being thrown at me from vehicles in front of me as I mostly overland HOWEVER if my does end up cracking this will be my go to replacement!

Dam that's sick when I win the stepchild I am getting a new windshield for it..
I wonder if they could build a windshield for the 2020 Supra
Anyone else wonder if besttop considered putting the single layer gorilla glass example shown in the soft top back windows.
The new glass is so awesome ,Jelly was really teaching that bad stick a lesson !! E3 is the best, much love and respect ♥️♥️♥️💯🤙

You should put PPF double layer on your windscreen even with gorilla glass adds extra protection
Would be great if it can be sewn or attached to a soft top on the rear window.
Do you have the HGP for 2014 JK 4 door model ???
