Its incredible, once he has that season 3 smiles it all just comes together. The eyes and pupil size, the body shape, its literally like a shrunken version of the prop. Amazing work. If I ever get back into model trains I just might have to order some commissions....

Thomas looks really awesome! He does look like his Gauge 1 prop. I also love the looks of the engines in Seasons 3-5.

Looking good dude! Your model of Thomas looks like the actual prop used at the time. Plus, you’re not the only that grew up with S3-5, as I think the characters looked their best at the time to. I can’t wait to see what else you got man.

ive always loved the model series of thomas and friends, and seeing the thumbnail of the video, not to also mention in the video, it looks way more accurate to the og thomas than any other models ive seen, especially the face

I’m so impressed with this model! What I wouldn’t give to work with you to do a custom commission with another engine!
This is an impressive custom thomas planning to do the same in the future early on I decided that it will be best to work with a custom body shell though I'll probably start with the first Bachmann thomas whole buying 2nd one which chasis will be used for the custom thomas. I learn an important lesson is to have two models in case you accidentally destroy your own model which happed to my Bachmann Edward

It's been a while since I've been into Thomas things and I'm recently getting back into. I'm a firm believer of never growing up (but having maturity and learning) and I'm saving my own thomas sets and trains for my kids later in the future, but I'm 19 years old... I feel embarrassed about liking thomas stuff but there's just something about trains in general that i love so much, the way they move, the way they work and the tracks are just satisfying to look at themselves. I'm my future forever home I hope to have an HO train set in my attic and it be huge and have many types of different trains. I feel like this is a safe spot to get it off my chest... to strangers on the internet for anyone to see, but I feel like there might be other people out there that feel the way I do with being older, being embarrassed they like not just Thomas, but train models in general..

This looks amazing! Quick question, what did you do to cover up the electronics in the cab? I've been altering a bachmann thomas to have an open cab and have been trying to find ways to move and secure the circuit board without damaging it. Also, what did you use for the decal for the #1? Did you edit it in Photoshop or use a commercial decal sheet?
I think it sucks that we have no official OO-scale release of the Furness Railway G5 0-6-0s. Only ten of those were ever made, and none were preserved.
Thank goodness for 3D printing and guides on the priming/painting process. We can always make our own.
