Gigliola is so elegant and has such a beautiful voice! She exudes class and sophistication! I wish I had known about her in the '70s when I was growing up listening to Carole King, but I'm not Italian so I am just now discovering her! Her presence on stage is so alluring and mysterious. There's just something about her that sets her apart from other pop music performers.
I entirely agree, she is up there with all the diva's I still have a 45fpm disc of her singing Non ho l'eta from the Eurovision ST 1964 and have all her music since. I love her version of la Violetera which was performed many years before she was born by Sarita Montiel and Gigliola made a very good job of that.
