Thank the Lord that Louis was doing errands that day. He would have been an innocent man in prison. The scratch on his cheek, the “eye-witness” testimony, and “motive” because I don’t think he actually knew she was cheating. His cries when he found out were so sad. That was a man in pain. I also don’t think he portrayed his relationship as perfect. At first he said he was happy. When they asked him again, he said to be honest we’re okay… okay means there are issues going on. Because at this time they were back together and working on their relationship.

Palmdale IS NOT one of the most expensive places to live. It where people go to live because they can’t afford to live near LA. Lots of crime, long commute times, dry hot dessert weather, floods when it rains.
That’s kinda what I was thinking. I would guess the cost of living in Malibu or Beverly Hills, for example, would be way more expensive. I can’t imagine anyone picking Palmdale to live in but for the lower real estate prices. I’m an RN, and buying a house that big would be very expensive. As an LVN (licensed Vicstionsl Nurse), which is the equivalent of a LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), her limitations in that career would lead to less income than a RN (Registered Nurse), but more than a CNA (nursing assistant). Also, because LPN’s cannot create “care plans” (because they don’t have the level of Nursing Theory that RN’s do) and they cannot administer iv meds, many hospitals have done away with LPN’s entirely. Some LPN’s instead will go back to college to get their FN degree. I imagine that this was likely what Lanell would have been planning to do. In a nursing home (aka Skilled Nursing Facility, or Long Term Care Center) LPN’s can give oral meds, but they also have to be supervised by an RN. RN’s can work in a nursery home by themselves, as they can in all nursing settings, if the patient count (or census) is low. So it’s more cost effective to hire RN’s in the long run. The reason I bring all of this up is because Lanell likely purchased the house there because it was cheaper than many of the surrounding cities.
@@jkhtravelrn Not sure what state you practice in, but most states allow LPNs to perform IVs and give IV meds. Hi, Kevin, i came upon your channel by accident. I am an avid True Crime reader, and i jump on TH-cam and watch various crime channels. I just wanted to say, that i appreciate how matter of fact, to the point, and concise your telling of the crimes you post. No over the top music, nothing added very straight reporting. I have a lot of videos to catch up lol, im getting there. Take care, looking forward to many more. A great channel❤❤
I started watching this channel, by chance a few months ago and quickly subscribed. What I most like about JTL and Kevin's narration is that the stories are either ones I haven't heard before, or if I'm familiar with the crime, Kevin tells it in a balanced and intelligent way. The viewers are treated as adults, too. We are not condescended to or bombarded with gurning presenters, overly gruesome and blood thirsty accounts of the crimes, unnecessary opinions and judgement from the presenters. It's well researched and respectful to all the victims. Well done JTL team
I just appreciate the fact that you cover from all the spectrums. Can you put a lot of thought and research into these cases. As tragic as they are I appreciate the fact that you give deference and respect, even down to your tone ...you're one of the best out there doing it!
Totally love this Chanel and Kevin , he covers the unheard cases . I love his voice is so soothing- I know it’s selfish but I wish he was a narrator , I’d be literally listening to anything he was narrating on Amazon Audio books ! He so respectful to the victims and there is a genuine feeling in his voice that he never needs to add words to . Thank you JTL
Didn’t you think they should have gotten him a French translator? English wasn’t his first language and he was in classes when he met Lanell. I think the police interview would have been more fair in his native tongue.
Man those cops are incompetent. Arrest the wrong guy based only on the word of some random chick. Don’t bother verifying anything she says for weeks. Don’t bother tracking his movements until weeks later. Took months to string together a straightforward case. Then, on top of all that, they let the actual killer get away.
Well, he also had that fresh scratch across his face, which looked pretty bad, and he initially lied about how their relationship was going. It was a little more than just the word of her "friend".
Why are you not at a million subscribers? Your videos are top-notch. Keep up the great work 👍

I went to school in Palmdale and currently live in Hawthorne. It was not common for these things like this to happen in Palmdale back then but things have absolutely changed since I left. It used to be a really nice city to live in. So sad this happened to the young lady.
Such a sad story thanks for sharing Kevin 😢
Such a great channel! Thanks for all the hard work JTL!
Thank you Kevin and team 💜🙏
Messy house. I could never live that way. Yikes!
Oh .......what JEALOUSY and GREED will do to ones thoughts !!! Just be grateful for what you DO HAVE because there is always going to be somebody , somewhere that is less fortunate than you . Poor LaNell lost her life because someone had these very UNSPIRITUAL characteristics in their heart & soul . RIP LaNell -- you deserved MUCH MUCH MORE !!!
JTL's Sunday upload is still the high-light of my TH-cam week! ♥
Wow. Great job. I wasn't expecting that. Love your channel. Thanks. My heart goes out to her mom.
So sad. Rest in peace Lanell.
This is the reason why I don’t call everyone my friend. 😢
I'm exactly the same I only call 4 or 5 tops, friends the other few dozen are acquaintances
I remember this case, it was crazy. Another unique, excellent uploading by JTL 👍
Kevin you deserve the whole TH-cam
beautiful girl, what a horrible friend.... she needs to stay in prison
The victim was a horrible girlfriend, she was dating two guys and had a girlfriend on the side… bad decisions have consequences.
Man this woman was really playing with fire! You invite so much more danger into your life by sleeping with multiple men and hiding it from your partner like this.
Best true crime channel, ever ❤❤❤❤❤
Hi, Kevin, i came upon your channel by accident. I am an avid True Crime reader, and i jump on TH-cam and watch various crime channels.
I just wanted to say, that i appreciate how matter of fact, to the point, and concise your telling of the crimes you post. No over the top music, nothing added very straight reporting.
I have a lot of videos to catch up lol, im getting there. Take care, looking forward to many more. A great channel❤❤
Thanks Sharon, glad you found us. Welcome to the channel! 🙂
Perfect timing! Thanks Kevin and co
Our Love and prayers for all who love Lanell. Heartbroken for each of you 💝🌅💝
Hell yeah, any day JTL uploads is a good day.
💯
We as a whole have got to be more alert and aware of those we allow inside our lives!!!
Great coverage and facts. Thank you 😊
Thanks for the new story.
Outstanding! You always do a spectacular job covering the strangest cases.
What I want to know is how the unemployed leech made her way to Belize?
I just appreciate the fact that you cover from all the spectrums. Can you put a lot of thought and research into these cases. As tragic as they are I appreciate the fact that you give deference and respect, even down to your tone ...you're one of the best out there doing it!
*and you put... but yes.
Wow! I remember this story but the way that it was presented by Kevin was so fresh that I didn’t realize it until well into the episode! Thanks
You're amazing Kevin!
Sundays are for JTL
Hey Kevin&Kathy 👋🏾
Another Great Episode
*Cathy, just FYI.
@@loveforeignaccents Oops. Thank you 😊
@@Dark_WolFeather 👍
Another great upload. 👍
Heart breaking. RIP fabulous Girl. Some Justice Served.
Thankyou so much for not wasting time giving everyone's life history, as that is when I leave.
Such a great channel. Thank you!
I feel a collaboration with that chapter and coffeehouse crime would give you the exposure your channel deserves. Keep up the good work.
Ugh that smimey coffee house guy doesn't do half the research Kevin does, and gives an anti women vibe. It wouldn't do Kev any favours
thanks for this. sad tragic case
I absolutely love this channel!!
Thank you, Kevin. Great job, everyday! KEEP RISING!
Poor Loius, having spent so much time in jail. He probably lost his job over this. Also poor LaNell, taken at the prime of her life over jealousy.
I agree poor Louis. Jailed because of an evil person.
Didn’t you think they should have gotten him a French translator? English wasn’t his first language and he was in classes when he met Lanell. I think the police interview would have been more fair in his native tongue.
Just love this channel!!
Thanks Kevin another great piece 😊
That was excellent, tragic but very well presented. I had a feeling it would be the girl as the killer
Started following jtl after the Greensburg case and been here ever since keep up the fantastic reporting I love it
Love this channel
Well played, Kevin. You gave us a twist, with class.
Thank you Kevin!
Excellent video. Very well done, sir.
Keep it up to give time for people to discover this channel and there will be over a million subscribers. ❤ your channel
