The Wagner group is not going to Belarus. Only Prigozhin (and hopefully for Prigozhin also a small contingent for his safety). Putin still needs the Wagner Group, and not all of them will be folded into the Russian military. Those that participated in the coup are exempt. Is the number 25.000 (those that entered Russia) or 4.000 (the size of the convoy) we don't know. But we do know it is a large enough number to continue to be a fighting force that Putin has to appease. The convoy to Moscow made it obvious that Russia has no fighting force in the rear to quickly mobilize. It can't just roll out a bridgade from a base near Moscow. Such a fighting force does not exist. Only police and gendarms were present to oppose the convey. A convoy of 4.000 veterans with armoured vehicles, IFV, T-90M tanks, Pantsir air defence and MLARS. The Russian air force could halt the progress, but they tried that by sending whatever they had at the problem which resulted in seven downed helicopters and one air plane, and a total 13 dead pilots. The writing is on the wall. Prigozhin could have caused chaos, but despite rolling with impunity towards Moscow for a long while, very few new soldiers joined him. So a popular revolt turned out to be unlikely and Prigozhin and Putin made a compromise to defuse the situation.

Moving the nuclear weapons (which still has not happened) is of little utility. Since the middle of the Cold War Russia have been able to level European and American cities with nukes. Russia simply can't defeat Ukraine when the West keeps resupplying it with war materials. And the taboos have largely been demolished. a former General of the German army, Mr Karter; had another suspicion today. He said, the way it went, was very surprising and rises the suspicion, that this was a screenplay with real weapons. As said, there was no real resistance, followed by this general amnesty for the whole Wagner PMC. The shot down aircrafts and other things were necessary sacrifices to get some kind of creditibility. And now Mr Karter's idea: He suspects, that this could be a hidden deployment of Wagner PMC in Belarus. All heavy vehicles and men are still mounted and supplied for several days. This would mean, that the Russian Federation would have about 65 k men in Belarus in future. A formidable force, to be a real threat to the northern flank of Ukraine and, again Kiev. And these forces wouldn't be on a three day journey to Ukraine, but a battle hardened iron fist on the third front. They possibly only wait for the order from Moscow. For Lukashenko, Prighoshin and Putin this is a win-win-situation: Lukaschenko is not forced to bring in his own troops, Prighoshin can again serve mother Russia and Putin/the MOD have a third front to split Ukrainean forces. Putting all aspects together, this option seems to be rather plausible.

That's exactly my theory also, all of this was a theatre for the West and Ukrainian leadership _(because way too many people want to believe Russia is weak, so Russians created a play of internal turmoil to feed that belief,.. and there's also something to be said about what Sun Tzu advised “Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak”)._
I can only speculate as to what exactly the Wagner group would be tasked with, but my guess is that once Ukrainian offensive starts and bites into Russian defenses, Wagner group would enter Ukraine thru' the northern border with intent of getting behind Ukrainian offensive and disrupting supply lines or even mounting an attack from behind if possible... and if executed well it could be a check-mate for Ukraine. \o/
But this can all be achieved without making Putin look weak. That’s the biggest problem with this hypothesis.

However, I think those who participated in this mutiny can't join anymore. Prigo was fighting to remain as the head of Wagner and keep Wagner as a private army. The plan to get the Wagner from him was already in process. Most people don't know that Prigo is an appointee and does not own Wagner in practice. Wagner was made by Russian intelligence and should be assigned to somebody as Russian law does not allow the private army, if Wagner members want to operate on Russian soil they need to have a contract with the Russian military and not be a private entity.

It seems like there are bad bloods between the Russian military and Wagner. Also, Prigo does not want to be under the Russian military and would have to give his whole company to Russia. He needs to make money somehow. Prigo probably know that the Russian military is currupted.
Maybe after the war the Wagner group will be quirky disbanded because of this. It’s going to be hard to disband them across Africa, so the Wagner group in Africa might rebrand, splinter, or do something else.

The truth is that nobody knows what the deal between Putin and Prigozhin entails. However, Prigozhin is still in control of the Wagner Group which is still in the area near the Donbas. The Wagner group is not going to Belarus. Only Prigozhin (and hopefully for Prigozhin also a small contingent for his safety).
Putin still needs the Wagner Group, and not all of them will be folded into the Russian military. Those that participated in the coup are exempt. Is the number 25.000 (those that entered Russia) or 4.000 (the size of the convoy) we don't know. But we do know it is a large enough number to continue to be a fighting force that Putin has to appease.
The convoy to Moscow made it obvious that Russia has no fighting force in the rear to quickly mobilize. It can't just roll out a bridgade from a base near Moscow. Such a fighting force does not exist. Only police and gendarms were present to oppose the convey. A convoy of 4.000 veterans with armoured vehicles, IFV, T-90M tanks, Pantsir air defence and MLARS. The Russian air force could halt the progress, but they tried that by sending whatever they had at the problem which resulted in seven downed helicopters and one air plane, and a total 13 dead pilots.
The writing is on the wall. Prigozhin could have caused chaos, but despite rolling with impunity towards Moscow for a long while, very few new soldiers joined him. So a popular revolt turned out to be unlikely and Prigozhin and Putin made a compromise to defuse the situation.

If he succeeds in marching on Kyiv, this makes no sense otherwise.

EXACTLY ! None of the events in this "coup" theathre makes any sense until you factor in the nuclear missiles Putin just few weeks ago convenently moved into Belarus. Notice Putin even distanced himself from the decision of making Wagner move to Belarus as it very publicly was arranged by Putin's puppet ruler in Belarus.
Moving the nuclear weapons (which still has not happened) is of little utility. Since the middle of the Cold War Russia have been able to level European and American cities with nukes. It is nothing new.
The propoganda value is however very good, and getting some European politicians to rethink their commitments to Ukraine is what Putin wants. Russia simply can't defeat Ukraine when the West keeps resupplying it with war materials. And the taboos have largely been demolished. Now almost everything is being sent to Ukraine, including tanks, fighter jets, and medium-range missils.
