      @@MTTPokerSchool The EMG certainly is good FT practice! 😁 Not everyone is happy playing smaller prizepools, but I’m happy to make that trade off and I get a little more sanity with it too i think 🤣

    Gareth, great video again, thanks! If, during study, you wanted to see the impact of changing variables, do you have to run each simulation again and is this typically time consuming. For example in the hand above, i imagine it would be useful to run the sim and then see how this changes if:
    1) There was no ICM pressure (i.e. how would this spot differ in chip EV)
    2) If other stacks were different (e.g. if the SB had a 30bb stack or if there was a micro stack at the table)
    3) If you suspected the BB was playing tighter or looser than the initial ranges
    4) If the payouts were different (flatter/steeper structure for example)
    On ICMizer it's quite simple to do that but, as you've covered already, it lacks a number of vital features than HRC has. Not sure if you've created a video on the above before and, if so, apologies for repeating it!

    Hey Gareth, nice video! Thank you very much. By the way, is HRC or are these type of softwares reliable to display GTO 3bet ranges both for value and as a bluff? I'm trying to solve but these 3bet ranges seem slightly different than some charts out there. Thanks again!

    • @MTTPokerSchool
      @MTTPokerSchool  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. Yeah HRC is great for giving you 3-bet ranges, but you'll need the new beta, available from their website. I put a video a few months ago comparing the HRC beta to Simple Preflop Holdem.

    Great video Gareth. What do you insert in box for a player open folding?

    • @MTTPokerSchool
      @MTTPokerSchool  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can’t have a player fold. They’ll always have the option to open in HRC. If they do fold, you can just move on to the next player. Does that make sense?

    When locking ranges, shouldnt you lock their 3 betting range for each sub-tree, for example if early position had opened etc.?

    • @MTTPokerSchool
      @MTTPokerSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      1. Open PokerTracker 4.
      2. Find the hand you want to save.
      3. Click the right mouse button on that hand and select "View Hand Details" or double-click on hand.
      4. Click on "Hand History Text".
      5. Select all text (CTRL+A) and Copy it (CTRL+C).
      6. Load HRC, click on new hand (choose which option you want, I recommend Monte Carlo Basic or Advanced)
      7. Then in the top left of the window that pops up you'll see a button to paste the hand history in.
      Let me know how you get on.

    hey gareth, thanks for the video - is this a new version of HRC that isnt available yet? does this new version mean we can do away with simple preflop and use this solely for preflop BB ranges etc? thanks

    • @MTTPokerSchool
      @MTTPokerSchool  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I think so! However, Simple Preflop can account for more than three players postflop, so this might affect the solutions somewhat.

    Thank you for this video, these new features look really nice. However I dont like the colour distribution in the range matrix, as in solver world green usually stands for check/call and blue normally means fold. Would be interesting to know why HRC is deviating from the norm.

    What are advantages of HRC vs Icmizer, did HRC Beta is worth it to make a switch from Icmizer?

    • @MTTPokerSchool
      @MTTPokerSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would avoid ICMIZER until they have a postflop engine that will make their preflop solutions usable. HRC has a postflop engine now and is great for running all your preflop spots to a higher degree of accuracy.
