I haven't finished the video....But I had to STOP at the "Should I do the 8 pen questions?" Yes, yes, and YES!!! It is SOOO fun to hear how people were drawn to fountain pens!!! I would *LOVE* to see YOU answer then!!!
Hello Vincenzo. First of all, I love your videos. I love your style. Thank you! Second, I want to encourage you to just forget about the naysayers and those who want to throw-up all over your stuff. I can't imagine there are many people who don't like you, but just overlook those who don't like it. My feeling is that the problem is theirs, not yours. God bless.
That's one of the obstacles , with putting out videos in this Pen-verse or any subject , for that matter......there will always be those Keyboard warriors , tapping away some critisism , unresearch opionion , or Feelings above facts comments.
In the end we are really talking about 3 individuals out of thousands. But it only takes a few to spoil the party. I just wanted to call them out. But thanks for your support.
Don't worry too much about the detractors. It's great that some folks can afford to buy the whole range of Mont Blancs, but the rest of us are not able to do that -- not even able to afford one of those, Viscontis or Scribos. Anyway, there are many of us who appreciate what you do! Molto grazie. (my Italian is not excellent)
Sometimes when you think about it, some of the prices are crazy. I just received my contract renewal for the landscaping at home and I was complaining to my wife when I realized for the price I get 6 months of service all included and its costs less than my Montblanc 149. I immediately signed the contract.
We enjoy your videos so much and appreciate the time and effort you put into it, to show us all the fountain pens out there. Well done and keep it coming. Greetings from South Africa 🤗
I loved the grail pen video. I understand your perspective. I have a number of “grail” pens, but sometimes the key to a “look alike” is the nib. I have a Lamy 2000 and a Jinhao 80. The Jinhao nibs can be hit or miss, but lately they have been better. The Jinhao 80 writes like a dream. It is a much better writer than the Lamy, and one of my best for less than $10. Keep up the good work, Vincenzo.
Hi sruckel! Hey you really surprised me about Jinhao 80 beating Lamy! I stopped buying cheaper pens, as you say, hit or miss pens started to pile up and a "hole" in my wallet. I'm saving and buying better quality but for example, I don't know what's wrong with me and Leonardo pens that their materials are stunning but the ink flow is poor. I've tried ebonite feeds, their gold nibs, steel sizes nibs, converters, piston fillers, etc and my conclusion is these pens are super picky with ink I use. Sorry for the long text, I wish I could spend hours sharing with fountain pen lovers since nobody around me shares my hobby😂 Enjoy your pens and day🎉
Hello Vincenzo, loved the show as always. Pens resurrected segment is a fantastic idea, i hope it catches on. Can't wait to see the m2s and m5 panda reviews.

Vincenzo, a few months back Goulet Pens changed how they ship, and are primarily shipping through DHL. Pens I have on the way - Still waiting on a Pilot Falcon to ship. I should be getting the Majohn C4 and a Pelikan M800 Brown Striated I ordered in the next few days. I also need to resurrect my Kaweco Bronze Sport and switch the nib to the 1.1 mm stub.
Hearing all these issues and turnovers at the Goulet Pens...Holds my wallet back from purchasing/ ordering from them....Instead I go to the Toronto pen shops through out the city, looking for the next best deal on my target fountain pen. I don't have the patience to deal with business's that don't have their shit sorted out and cleaned up....lol
@@kan-zee I don't see how you got "all these issues" out of my comment. The 1st sentence is the only one that applies to Goulet pens - a simple statement they changed shippers. The rest was about what I have going on with other sources. To be fair, the very first order from Goulet that was sent through DHL was a little slow getting to me, but I've not had any further issues with them.
We only have one pen shop here in Quebec. My first step is to always check what Canadian sellers offer, A few of them are in Tororto. Sometimes, when you factor in, shipping, customs and the currency exchange it is really worth while shopping Canadian. Other times they just do not have the inventory.
@@fountainpentherapy For me, there are no local retailers where I live. The closest is 60 Mi/100 Km + away. I feel for you. The few items that I've acquired from Ebay sellers in the UK & Japan, the shipping had been quite expensive! I guess I'm fortunate that I do not have to deal with that all too often.
@fountainpentherapy Goulet stopped shipping to QUE because they do not provide bilingual service and that changed with the language law implemented in QUE :(

Agreed...got my partner the brass one , for over 100 cad...no converter, no ink, ...just a brass tube with a nib attached....she wanted it...I got it for her...I got to pay an extra $20 for the converter....which is one of the most expensive , like Waterman, Parker converters.

Your presentations are enjoyable and relaxing. Therefore, I was humbled and thrilled to witness your shoutout to me. Thank you sincerely. I would have made the video if the only result was your shoutout.
My pleasure. You are on my watch list. This shutout is the first but I am convinced it will not be the last. By the way I followed your advise and so far the Jinhao No 8 nib works with the JD Big metal pen. A little burping because of the air pressure with eyedropping. I also tried eyedropping the pen without your silicone solution so far so good. I will probably feature the results and credit your suggestion in this weeks recap. Thanks.

Very fun video! Yes to the 8 questions. I got the KAWECO Piston pen yesterday and it IS beautiful-I think you would like it. SO enjoying your videos and like the idea of revisiting 3 pens from your collection. Keep going! ❤
Thank goodness, that most of us enjoy all of the fountain pen experiences; from Jinhao to Pelikan. I think it's sad that pen snobbery exists. As Chris Rapsiek said earlier today, " I don't like to rain on anybody's parade." And he meant that he didn't like to say disparaging things about a pen that someone else may like. On a different topic; have you heard anything about Pilot discontinuing the Burgundy/Ivory version of the E95s? I don't know if it's a direct result of the rumor, or if it's fact, but they are getting scarce on the retail sites. That's a pen that's so loved, I thought it was a staple on the market. And would be indefinitely. So I was caught out, and went quickly to purchase one. There was an issue with the purchase process, which I won't talk about until I see how the situation develops. Hopefully, things will go well and I'll have the pen sooner rather than later.
You know folks, I got one sometime ago and my review was ready to be published and I pulled it back. For some reason I just do not get the same writing experience that everyone else gets from that pen. There must be something wrong. I will have to take the time to look into it. I have never used it since my purchase.
@@fountainpentherapy Please do it's my best smoothest pen I have, maybe you got one with hiccups. I got one of the Fuliwen 17 that has been down right difficult
Thanks for all the many inputs and thoughts and news you put together and shared with your viewers. Yjis "JD" pen is on its way to me and I'll soon wathch Gary Greenes video about it, swapping nibs and wait for your own release and experiences about a nib swap.
I have swapped the nib and feed from the X159 to the 9019 and insert them into their respective pen's nib assembly. So, the nibs and feeds can be swapped but not the assembly. I was planning to buy the Asvine V200 and insert a Bock Titanium nib. It would seem to make sense to have a titanium nib in an adorned titanium pen. I am hoping that the Bock nib has the same dimensions as the Asvine nib. If not, then the experience will not be what I want.
I live in San Juan, Puerto Rico and a couple of years ago I had made some orders from them, and the same thing happened to me, the site said they would not ship to my address. I contacted them and have not received a reply. 🤨
I bought and received the Spaccanapoli in orange. I too was disappointed as the resin was not as thick as the DV mid size nor was the color as warm and vibrant. It is about the size of a DV slim. However, it does write well. Looking at the image of the Intesa, It looks like a nice color but far less quality than a Moonman 800. It would be sad if Delta moved in that direction. It may lead to their demise.
Miss your weekly recaps although the 2 grail pen videos were fun too. I am interested if you could incorporate the 8 questions into your weekly recaps as you see fit. I don't necessarily enjoy all 8 questions in one video. Thank you.
Nice video. I enjoy your reviews of reviews. It always reminds me of a European newscast with a review of the press. It's fun that three of the leading fountain pen reviewers are Canadian (you, Doodlebud, and Inkquiring Minds). I think it helped you to have a 2 week break so you had more news to cover this period. I think it would be fun to hear your take on the 8 pen question. I'd love to see your pen/ ink collection and how you store / organize them. I will also be interested in your take on the new Delta and why you are so unhappy. I'd love to see your visit of their factory / HQ in Naples. Sounds like an amazing trip home.
PS I think reviewing your old collection is a nice way of making the exit, and enjoying them again. I especially enjoyed the FC19. Never had one, but tried a friend's FC at our pen club. It was such a pleasant writer. I quite like my Ranga too. Look forward to the Ranga review too. I quite liked that RIPLEY series as well. I imagine La dolce vita was a reference to Italian films and era more than the Delta pen... although I could be wrong.
@@fountainpentherapy Thanks for the kind words. I watched a few of those #8penquestions. It was interesting how most of the responses were by women. It would be interesting to reflect on the gendering of how we collect and enjoy pens. I know in Japan that there is a common divide among young female fans of inks and bright pens and older men who like old style rather conservative pens. The people at Tokyo Inklings said that it was the young women who are really helping to keep the industry alive. Just food for thought.
my Wing Sung 630 arrived yesterday and it was asa great as you said it would be. mine was a maroon model with a medium nib and a fence ink window. is the flat top version a model 629?
I will certainly consider getting the Ranga Splendour without the nib. I am guessing the pen will be threaded for Jinhao nib assembly? I think I will be eyedropper fill the pen. Have you looked at the Kaweco Sport piston filler model?
take a look at both the Ranga site but also Peyton street pens. In the latter site, you will see all of the options you have for the nib. Two of the splendours will have the No size 8 nib options. The rest are mostly No 6 size in Jowo, Bock or Schmidt. They even have an option with No 8 size Magna Carta nibs.
I've also been disappointed in the more affordable Delta pens since the company's rebirth. The materials don't seem as nice as those of Leonardo, for example. Your review of the Visconti Mythos convinced me to get the Apollo and it has become one of my favorite pens. That nib is marvelous! Now I need to get the Poseidon version with a different nib.
Not all of them have disappointed me. Stay tuned for my review I will try to make a plea to delta and Nino Marino to stay away from such poor compromises.
I like mine. It writes surprisingly well. Wish there was an ink window but that not the worst thing in the world. I am sorry people give you such a rough time. Life is short I don’t understand why are they so nasty.
I would love to hear your 8 pen questions! If you do it in one video please get added to the 8 pen question hash tag, you would really be a great addition.
The eight pen questions seem tailored primarily as a promotional hashtag for those two TH-camrs, aiming to artificially gain recognition and attract the attention of channels they aspire to collaborate with. The formulation of these questions lacks a clear focus, with numerous overlaps. Essentially, they inquire, "Tell us how your preferences evolved". I believe you can infuse a more personal touch into your content, aligning it with your unique style rather than adhering strictly to this specific Q&A format. After all, authenticity often resonates more profoundly. I’d appreciate it if you could share more of your personal thoughts, but perhaps without the gimmicky arbitrariness of these eight questions, and more in the vein of the “Grail Pen” special you treated us with. The sentence containing all the letters of the alphabet ("The quick brown fox...") is called a pangram (or pangramma in Italian). If you look at the Italian entry for ‘Pangramma’ on Wikipedia, you'll find many amusing ones. Interesting weekly recap, as usual. Have a nice week.
well i looked at the 8 questions and right off the bat there are a few that simply do not resonate with me , so I was planning to formulate my own variant. Its a work in progress, Interesting comments as usual.
Good idea about affordable pens similar to grail ones. You have a massive project here because the looks may be "easy" to find but the writing experience is the puzzle. Also the writing "likes"such as stiff or bouncy feeling. Now, some pens are very picky with which ink they'll write or not; the paper too because some dislike thin paper, etc. When I begun this hobby, I heard start with Pilot Metropolitan...its stiff nib almost made me give up. I criticized those expending over $100 in a pen so I found myself buying cheap pens that eventually gave me a medium enjoyment writing experience and if I had saved my money in all those cheap pens, I could have easily bought a better writer. The first time I wrote with a Pelikan 14k, my mouth dropped. In my opinion, is worth buy one or two cheap ones just to feel and enjoy them, but save and buy one that brings my experience to another level of smoothness and reliable, beautiful eye catching pen. Thank you for your time and looking forward your awesome videos. Take care🎉
It's truly a shame you have to 'clarify'/apologize for your 'fun' video. I for one loved it and I have several 'grail' pens including a Montblanc, a Porsche etc. BUT I like several of my 'alternatives' very much - the Asvine p36 and especially the V200 are excellent and I think their quality easily matches some of those same grail pens. Obviously the gold nibs are better, but NOT 10 times better ( based on price ). This is exactly the same as the Audiophile wars where rich nut jobs will pay $ 30,000 for a 5% improvement over a $ 1000 device. Keep up the good work!
215 pens one kaweco sport. 5 Lamy Safaris 6 twisbis Not a big fan of small pens. Don’t do it. Don’t cave to fomo pressure. Get the poisiden instead or Indian pens without nib. That u suggest.
Regarding the 8 Pens Questions; it doesn't really appeal to me. I prefer non formulaic content although if you decide to do it, I'd probably watch. I haven't watched any of the other ones, and I watch almost all pen content videos. To me, it's akin to a TikTok challenge video. Although I realize that people are just having fun.
@@fountainpentherapy just out of curiosity, I started counting how many videos about the 8 questions there are currently on TH-cam. I gave up on counting after I reached 50.
I was happy to see again in stores the DELTA pens and so I bought a INTESA2.0 with nibs and a fine elastic. Nothing to complain about for the Stub 1.1 that I disassembled and placed on a Leonardo Momento Zero with very positive result, a really nice nib. Conversely, the fine elastic nib is really bad: it dries and every time you have to "entice" it to write. When he begins to write the nib does not stop, but the pen becomes unreliable at cold starts. I would say that I almost threw 98.00 € unless I reassemble his original 1.1 mm nib. I’m disappointed in this Delta pen.
I will be reviewing the intesa 2.0, But so far its a big disappointment and I am very disappointed with Mr. Marino. A fellow Neapolitan a man i respect. But those cheap Deltas need to be stopped.

I was planning to buy the Asvine V200 and insert a Bock Titanium nib. It would seem to make sense to have a titanium nib in an adorned titanium pen. I am hoping that the Bock nib has the same dimensions as the Asvine nib. If not, then the experience will not be what I want.
If you buy the v200 buy it with the bock nibs this way the swap is certain. But you know what I will play around with mine and let you all know.
I live in San Juan, Puerto Rico and a couple of years ago I had made some orders from them, and the same thing happened to me, the site said they would not ship to my address. I contacted them and have not received a reply. 🤨
Its just too bad.
That purple and blue ranga is gorgeous. Can't find one for sale anywhere on the web. Great pen!
Check out Ranga Pens or Peyton Street Pens (splendour model)
I bought and received the Spaccanapoli in orange. I too was disappointed as the resin was not as thick as the DV mid size nor was the color as warm and vibrant. It is about the size of a DV slim. However, it does write well. Looking at the image of the Intesa, It looks like a nice color but far less quality than a Moonman 800. It would be sad if Delta moved in that direction. It may lead to their demise.
How do you compare the resin of the spaccanapoli with the M800?
Miss your weekly recaps although the 2 grail pen videos were fun too. I am interested if you could incorporate the 8 questions into your weekly recaps as you see fit. I don't necessarily enjoy all 8 questions in one video. Thank you.
Noted! Thanks for watching
Thank you for sharing. As always most interesting.
@@fountainpentherapythanks. We all need a bit of fountain therapy…. Cheers.
No the 629 is much smaller and lighter. Not the same quality compared to the 630.
@@fountainpentherapy i have dealt with Peyton Street Pens previously. Thanks.
Yes do a 8 pen question!
I am thinking about it. Will vary the questions however.
Its all good.
I would love to hear your 8 pen questions! If you do it in one video please get added to the 8 pen question hash tag, you would really be a great addition.
I will seriously consider it, but I may want to change a few.
Kaweco I am glad it over priced I. Could get a benu or a Franklin pen
A little pricey right now. Lets wait and see.
I agree...those two have gained hundreds more subscriptions from their efforts to promote the 8 pen questions...good one them. LOL
well i looked at the 8 questions and right off the bat there are a few that simply do not resonate with me , so I was planning to formulate my own variant. Its a work in progress,
Interesting comments as usual.
YES, I agree.
Take care🎉
Thanks for watching
He said another $1000 pin talk about being Privileged… & just think all the homeless & ex military who needs help.😊
Nice comparison , with the TikTok Challenge videos.
As I mentioned to another viewer, i was thinking about changing some of the questions. Its a work in progress.
@@fountainpentherapy just out of curiosity, I started counting how many videos about the 8 questions there are currently on TH-cam. I gave up on counting after I reached 50.
Schon pen looks great but to pricy for me for pocket pen. No don’t do it. Yes get the posiden instead
Thanks for advice.
