I had a poly legend underfolder a while back to scratch the T3 itch. A nice looking AK, no doubt, but it was further away from a Russian T3 then I imagined. Aside from what you mentioned already, here are some of the other differences I've noticed: Both the front and rear sight blocks are cast, not milled. The rear sight leaf has the letter "D" for the 0-300 battle setting and not the Cyrillic letter "П" like the Bulgarian and Russian ones. For some reason the gas block only has one cross pin instead of two. The recoil guide appears to also be cast, not milled. The underfolding stock is stamped, not milled. The pistol grip is attached like an AKM with the loose nut inside of the receiver, not to a riveted trigger guard block like the T3. The serial number on the gas block is on the outside, not underneath. I get that they used what they had and it is a great gun with an amazing trigger. But is it a type 3 though? No way, too many differences.

Would it be dumb to put a polytech grip on a none Chinese rifle?
