You all should give Morissette Amon a try. Best female singer in the world today. The vocal range from low to high like Mariah Carey, but a much more beautiful tone to her voice, pleasant to the ears like Whitney was.

@@TRYBALS Because, people do drugs to avoid feeling bad, because drugs first make them feel very good, but thats at first, then drugs no longer make them feel good any more, but they make them feel worst when they dont take it, so they no longer take them to feel good, but just to not feel worst. When an addict stops using drugs, his body reacts like its sick, they feel pain all over their body, they sweat a lot, and they shiver like when one has a very high fever, is a terrible thing, so they keep using it because if they stop, they start to feel sick. And drugs also stop working in the same amount, at first they can take a little and thats enough, but over time they have to use more and more for it to work, and eventually its more than the body can handle and thats when the drugs kills them.

A poor person or a person with no way at all to help can at least offer up thoughts and prayers that will keep their heart sensitive to the needs and sufferings of others, but all those who have the means should also take considered action.

I just love that bright yellow on Parvati! All the colors she wares is beautiful. But that yellow is just so sunny and cheerful. Sometimes the artistic symbolism is lost to her. She is a speak plainly type of person. Just love that about her. Muharam just loves music period. He wants to sing along so badly. It's adorably sweet. Abdul has a musicians soul and him catching how Whitney blended notes together and had demonstrated it was spot on.

Again, Abdul Sir makes a salient point before the song even starts. When Adan said people sometimes misunderstood the lyrics to a song, his response was "they should find value in those". Then, when asked about the lighting in the background of the video, he perfectly explained why they were diffused. He "saw" in her face what the song was saying. Sir, you never cease to amaze me, and you offer me an option that I may not have thought of myself. Thank you for sharing yourself.
I know this video is supposed to be about Whitney and this song, but I just have to say that their reaction to seeing Mr. Rogers punched me right in the heart and made me instantly start crying like a baby! I absolutely adored Mr. Rogers! I haven't seen the video where they reacted to seeing him for the first time, but I loved seeing the instant joy they had when they recognized him and spoke about him. I could tell that when they reacted to him the first time, they obviously got what he was all about and felt what all of us who grew up watching him felt...and it stuck with them. Last Easter, my German/ Iranian/ American family was having lunch together when my 14 year- old nephew said he didn’t know who Whitney Houston was so we listened to this song and literally every single person out of three generations had to cry. Her voice was just unbelievable.

Whitney was amazing, it’s so hard to believe she’s gone! This was Dolly Parton’s song that Whitney sang with her unique vocals added. It was a song on both Whitney’s album and the soundtrack for a movie called “The Bodyguard” (starring Whitney Houston & Kevin Costner) where Whitney plays a famous singer (which she actually is) and Kevin Costner is her bodyguard. They spend so much time together and eventually fall in love. It was a great movie, Whitney & Kevin did an amazing job. RIP Whitney ❤️

I grew up with the Dolly Parton version and her beautiful voice singing this song will always be my #1. But I understand why Whitney's version was chosen. She definitely took out the "country" sound and Whitney's powerhouse, beautiful interpretation is stunning! Now I'm going to go watch some Dolly Parton... and probably look for another favorite Dolly Parton song "Love is Like a Butterfly".

Peace be Upon You. I was surprised by Muharam's reaction to Whitney Huston being black. I would like to see their reaction to the realization that the USA is made up of people from all over the world. The original people are of the same color as the Pakistani's . We are described as a "melting pot" where all races and colors live together. I would like to see what their reaction is to that.

Whitney Houston had a truly God given talent. The tragedy of her life is cautionary. She had a voice that could light up a stadium but her relationship with her husband and drugs took her away too soon. Her Mom has quite a voice as well. This song, written and originally sung by Dolly Parton, is practically a signature song for Whitney. It showcases her range and ability. Whitney's voice, for me, still stands out as exemplary in a world today flooded with babblers.

I can't hear this song without it making my eyes water, I don't know why. Enjoy your observations and analysis, nice thing about music it allows everyone to form their own opinion and express how they perceive it and how it makes them feel. It's fascinating how the same song from the same person played to the same group can evoke different thoughts, feelings, emotions, in different people. We all hear it together, but it affects us different in our own individual ways.

@@marklar7551 Not quite sure what you mean, but I've recently fallen down this youtube rabbit hole of "reaction" videos lately. I have been very entertained watching people see/hear acts for the first time (genuine or not) that I've know my whole life.
Parvati always has such beautiful outfits. They really look great on her. :) She is such a beautiful soul.
I think it's really interesting - the difference between Parvati's reactions to the two men. I really loved what they had to say, especially Abdul, whom I feel felt this deeper then he could even express, because you can see how alight his eyes are after listening to it - he looks really happy. Muharam is, as always, appreciative of the beauty of the music and expressive with his opinion, which is a joy to hear. As for Parvati, I didn't think it was a bad thing that this didn't exactly appeal to her (despite how well-known and loved it it), to the contrary: it's a reminder that we all have out tastes and perhaps incentive to find the music that makes Parvati's eyes shine the way this one did for Abdul. :)
i want to see parvarti reacting to something that she has expertise in. or something that aligns more with her interests. i feel like she’d have so much more to share and to say if you found a topic she was passionate about. maybe have her react to traditional recipes from other countries or different child rearing techniques all over the world. i like to see her happy and smiling!

I agree with Mr. Abdul. I LOVE lyrics. Even if I find a tune catchy, the lyrics tend to be the most important to me 99% of the time. I am glad you put Mr. Rogers in there so as not to make them feel uncomfortable and therefore taken them away from appreciating her voice. It's definitely a universal song as far as its meaning and I loved how much it was appreciated (and that Adnan couldn't help but sing along ^_^) If they wanted to hear more of her, a song they would enjoy the meaning to might be "When You Believe" with Whitney and Mariah Carey, two of our great powerhouses. Yet you didn't mention that it was written and recorded two decades earlier by Dolly Parton. Hmm, guess diversuty just goes one way? Dolly wrote and sang the song about leaving her longtime mentor and boss Porter Wagoner's show which had made her famous to begin with. He didn't want her to leave the show and was a little upset with her, but showing the class act she has always been, she wrote him this farewell song. That is what the song was about. Give credit to where it belongs.

Yep, I remember Dolly Parton's original song of I Will Always Love You. My father in law still has the original vinyl record of the album Jolene with that song on there. He listens to it every so often. Powerful song, and Whitney Houston makes it even better in her cover version of the song. Makes me cry every time I hear it.

I personally prefer Dolly Parton's original... so authentic, sincere, and gentle. Not taking anything away from Whitney's talent or performance. She was a remarkable singer, and it is so sad the world lost such a beautiful voice.

yes please, and explain to them more fully that she wrote it as a tribute and appreciation to porter wagoner when she was leaving his show. it was not a romantic relationship, but he had given her a start on regular tv, and she became great, more than him actually, and it came time to spread her wings. he was quite annoyed about it at the time, but dolly was right. she appreciated him and what he had done for her, but now it was time for her to leave, like a daughter leaving a parent. it doesn't mean they don't value the support given. on the contrary, they do.

My granny grew up with Minnie Pearl, I've sat in Mrs. Partons lap. Loretta Lynn told me to go get juice out of her fridge when I was a boy. My aunt is named after her.
Point is, I have a soft spot for that era because I completely did not appreciate what was happening at the time. They were just my Granny's nice friends.

So many of these comments are about the beauty of Whitney's voice and that cannot be denied but the beauty of this video is the interaction between people who have had no exposure to this beautiful music and their innate understanding of it, their ability to relate their poetry with music of the West.
