Otto. Problems with Kingston card was more than sure a bug in EU software. It is fixed now and all (at least mine) Kingston cards do work with Pocket 3. But those DJI recommended 200 euros UHS-II cards are totally nonsense. DJI confirmed that Pocket 3 hardware is UHS-I but those UHS-II cards do work with it (like in every other UHS-I slots because those cards are backwards supported). But true. Sandisk Extreme works very well and remember to format the SD card IN THE DEVICE where it is used. Not in PC.
that's good to know about Kingston. I've been paying attention to this matter but I think yours is maybe the first positive report on them. Sandisk Extreme are my top choice for DJI drones and this Pocket 3, the Samsung PRO has surprised me and I bought my 3rd one when I did this video. My initial overheating test was done with this card and I had 0 problems. Thanks for sharing!
Hey! great video! Thanks! May i ask, you mentioed the Sandisk SD, the "Sandisk Extreme PRO MicroSD 256GB", or should i opt for something else? Thanks again!
Hi Otto - Good idea to cover this as I've had to find good cards for DJI drones for years. Minimally a SanDisk Extreme, but Extreme Plus, Extreme Pro are better still. I tend to get the largest that a device will support, even though its a good idea to regularly clear files onto your Storage drive(s) and keep the device cards clear. Lately I have switched to Samsung Pro Plus, from their Evo, Evo Plus and Endurance cards (I have not found a need for the more shielded cards like Endurance, even with drones, weather and all kinds of tough conditions, have you?) Samsung just added a Pro Ultimate to have a competitor for the fastest SanDisk versions.
thanks for your feedback! Same here, I ditched their EVO lineup and I agree with you, no real need for those Endurance cards. Call me old fashioned but I like to buy a medium size (128GB lately) specially when I'm out on a trip. I feel like splitting my content can somehow make me feel better if something happens to one card, instead of losing everything on a single one (hope that makes sense)
@OttoJulian_ yes, I like the idea of splitting content, instead of having all your eggs in one basket, as they say. Not sure who "they" are but it's still smart!
I have the SanDisk Extreme plus 256 for mo OP3. I haven't used it yet but i already formatted it. Would you still recommend the Extreme Pro? or the extreme plus will be okay? @OttoJulian_
Hi, I'm just confused about which memory card I should choose. There is the SanDisk 256GB UHS-I V30 U3, with 200 MB/s reading and 140 MB/s writing speed, and the Lexar 1066x microSDXC™ UHS-I, with 160 MB/s reading and 120 MB/s writing speed."
What about Lexar Pro 512GB SDXC UHS-I V30 R160/W120 (1066x) Vs SanDisk Extreme Pro 512 Which one is better for DJI Osmo Pocket 3? I can’t understand the difference between them. 😢
Hi bro, pls reply fast, if u have the option to pick sandisk extreme pro and sandisk extreme. Which one u choose for 4k recording with no heating issues or any other issues. Today is last day of sale at my place..so pls reply fast. Am confused between two.
Hey, thanks for sharing! Do you happen to know why after I delete all the files on the SD card, it still takes up space? Do I need to format it every single time? It shows "no files on my SD card" while showing me only 7 minuntes left for me to shoot.
Extreme will work fine, the PRO one if you want to (try) to future proof to use it on another camera. 128GB is more than enough, that's what I keep using instead of 256GB
Hey thanks for the informative video. I am currently using Sandisk extreme pro. Whilst it doesn't give me any issue during recording, i find it extremely slow to transfer footage to computer afterward (Only 20-30MB/s on average). I've tried different methods of card reading, and they are seems to cap at this speed. I wonder if you could suggest a faster way of transferring footage? Thank you in advance.

i hope you can help me out, i have 2 of the recommended cards from the dji website for the OP3 I have Extreme pro sandisk mbs 200/90 a 128gb and 64gb they both get this message on a yellow box that say first not compatible and i formatted the sd card on the OP3 and i still get this message that says they are too slow - great videos btw ♥
Thank you so much! Those cards should work fine, and you did the right thing by formatting them inside the P3. If you get that message I would think that there is a chance that those memories are counterfeit, or they are damaged, but chances that both got damaged is are very low. I'd would contact Sandisk directly

Hey Otto. I have a question. Im using the samsung micro sd card. Not sure if its the cards problem, but when i do selfie video footage on my osmo pocket 3, some color distortion occurs. Only on selfies though. Otherwise, other video footage is fine. What do you think the problem is?

I don't know if you got the card to work but I got also a Samsung VEO select and it wouldn't read also, I took it out with the OP3 activated and pushed it back in and noticed that it suddenly could see the card. Now it sees it all the time.
@Tous-de-le-Doki recognizing the card is not the problem. The P3 will see it, the problem is that your video could stop recording after some minutes, it can also cause an increment in overheating and other related problems.
