Hahaha it was only reliable because it was rocking a cummins engine although it was manufactured in china it is still American owned company so they're strict in quality. But you gotta agree the other parts are wearing out quickly does it ? I bet you your headlights are already yellowing and probably has cracks in it
if you had to ask me or choose over the HiLux and DmaX, this will be the First choice! Malaki at maluwag!
Hey Alex, great reviews as usual! :) Can't wait to see the launch price. By the way, did Foton mention if this is included in the coding exemption list?
V9 is a direct copy from Ram in front and F150 on rear, V7 is a copy from the F150. I wonder why they can’t make it in north america which should shake up the market
How do this compare to Silverado or F150? I find the 2 liter turbo engine too small to make this a workhorse truck. Most likely pang lifestyle truck lang (?) oh yeah. parking this in malls or other places will be a challenge 😂
It’s true, we experienced this on our Foton thunder and Van before. Phirapan and need pa mag order online na dapat meron sa casa like aircon
Atleast full size and high tech the price of a Ram and F-150 are rediculous. Thats why the Chinese can do business because they think outside of the box.
We experienced Foton pickups and Van before and it’s a very bad experience when it comes to parts availability. Never again!😅
Let those who are impressed with low price and " nice " style buy it. I will wait for everyone's experience with longevity and durability after several years passed. Meantime, my hard earned money goes to Ford F150 or Toyota Tundra.
The real challenge for the Foton Tunland V9 4x4 Hybrid is on the undergroung mines in Peru. Just test its durability for 2 years and talk the real performance.
If they could have actually made the wheels fit better inside the wells. Plus, the rubber is too small. It needs, at the very least, 275/70 r18s not that puny 265. The only thing going for it is the size. Interior amenities, engine power, safety features and trick suspension, one can have the Ranger Raptor for just a few hundred thousand pesos more than the ₱2M asking price for this truck.
Great review. PH cars in general have always been too costly to own than most of the world, with third world salaries at that. Copycat design aside, people will put their money on these trucks to make that statement - enough with overpriced vehicles. They’re getting so much metal, interiors that wow and a 4x4 transmission at a price point they can afford. It’s value over originality, that explains why they were sold out.

Good Job Foton 👍💪👏🥰
Very true indeed
I bought BYD Shark (400+ whp) much better than Foton Tunland
Puny wheels and not even a 360 camera.
Subrang ginalingan ng foton. This is sure a game changer. Maganda rn naman performance ng foton.
Here are the prices from what I've read.
Foton Tunland V7 4x2 - 1.758M
Foton Tunland V7 4x4 - 1.888M
Foton Tunland V9 4x2 - 1.788M
Foton Tunland V9 4x4 - 1.998M
Nissan navarra pro 4x better for 1.8 than this
Id rather go to dmax or navarra. Top of the line.
Tunland is a full size not a midsize like the dmax/navarra. So for that price range, its more competitive

@@kevinpenaso2105 Interesting, they should keep the momentum by providing good aftersales service.
Saw this at MIAS today and it caught my eye for sure. Foton makes tough utility vehicles.

Hindi ninyo alam na sa recent Manila Auto Show Foton has sent 20 V7 and 30 V9 Tunland units and all are sold out agad! Thats impressive! 😮
go to our City there's a 4x2 and 4x4 3 Foton Tunland V7 and 3 Foton Tunland V9 not yet sold out and still on display in a mall
@@totzinfo Hello, what city is that?
its a nice pick up for the price of 2m. cummins ang makina, getrag ang tranny at bosch ang electronics. much reliable sa 10r80 tranny ng mga ford.
how reliable, 10r80 rated 800nm torque..
hindi yan cummins.
the front looks like a ram 1500 with the tail lights of a ford f-150??? Not to mention the name tunland is almost similar to the toyota tundra
161 HP is quite small for its size.
It would be great if it has a V6 engine with around 250HP
Think about the prices sir. If you got the money, go with ram and f150.
Even the old Hilux D4D has more hp at 171hp. At least make it 200+hp
I agree with you, its horse power is weak.
450Nm of torque is the important number in this types of vehicles...
If you want more hp then get a sportscar instead...

Please lay it out for us...
Just like the Foton Thunder (Tunland G7), are those also going to be manufactured in Clark?

It's supposed to have those features according to the spec sheet but i wasnt able to test them. Ill definitely do when i post my full review

This I would say assembled in the Philippines rather than made in the Philippines?
I wish i could by that thing it so luxurious and. Nice ❤

If I have a money, why not. 😅😅😅
Yes why not..foton have a assembly plant here in the Phils, so basically parts can be sourced out easily...😊

Its ramford 😅

It's a mild hybrid so I'm not sure but most likely, it's not exempt
Looks great 👍😃
Tunland V9 or V7 were impressive. please more info. about installment price
And with a Small Size pick up engine power
@jaywalkur what is the V9 0-100kph time?

TUNdra LANDcruiser. That is where it came from. Ha ha

they assemble this truck in Cambodia under GTV brand
Interms of design they looked like :
V7 = Ford F150 Raptor / Raptor R
V9 = Ram TRX
Its combination of Tundra and Landcruiser that is why they called Tunland
