Mutabaruka explains that Rastfarianism is a black power movement which was started to elevate black people from their Colonial mindset. A way of freeing black people's minds from white supremacy. So they could see greatness in themselves and through a great black leader Emperor Haile Selassie 1.

Muta is NOT a foundation founding member of the Rastafari movement and is in no position to say that the movement was just a anti-colonial movement. One only have to read the Holy Piby written by the founder of the movement Leonard Howell to know that what Muta is saying is NOT true.

Which God, that's part of the issue, people not proud of their black self, not seeing themselves as the best not seeing themselves as worthy to be something great. They are distracted by religion and God. While other races are putting in the work to be something great. As they have recognized greatness in themselves and are not waiting until they die to see riches or greatness. They are going after it now.
It's not about Rasta alone. rastafari is just one of the arms that encourages people to uplift their black heritage
