84asrd84boxy Thanks Bill.. its a reoccuring theme.. how things have changed.. I used to think I would have liked to have been an enthusiast in the 50s and 60s.... now younger people think they would have liked to have been around in the 70s early 80s!!
Absolutely fantastic video mate. My favourite period of railways, 1997/98/99 and spent most of it down Bescot. I can give you the numbers of most of those 31s and 37s if you dont have them just by looking at them :). Wish I had been bothered to lug the heavy video camera round back then, but I took hundreds of photos instead.
***** Thanks for your comment..When I had seen every loco, coach and unit I lost a bit of intrest ..I decided I would either have a camcorder or good still camera..I chose the camcoder and have to say it restarted my enthusiasm for railways..Im glad I recorded some of the scene back then,it was agood time to be out and about..
Nick Parry I have been into railways since about 1982 and til about 1990 I recorded numbers, cleared most locos, did old DMUs and loved doing my coach numbers. Started taking photos from about 1991 onwards and did some video in the late 1990s. I havent written a number down in 20 years lol. I just love seeing old locos, dont care what colour it is as long as its an old loco class :) . I dont do class 66/ 67/ 68/ 70 at all. Hope you can post more videos of such quality from late 1990s early 2000s :)
***** I am slowly going through my Hi8 Video tapes from 1998 to 2004 theres 39 tapes in all and most of the Bescot video came off Tape 6 so many more videos to come...I have 70 odd DV tapes after that when I changed camcorder so lots to come yet!!
Nick Parry Well I have subbed anyway so will keep an eye out. In 2002 as 37s became less and less I didnt go out for trains much, just bought magazines and read about what I had missed but started again in 2006 after seeing 37425 blast out of Bescot I was hooked again :). My interest has gone a little again now though as all the foreign imports take over more and more.
