  • Finger coiling curly hair?! more like FINGER ROLLING!!!! If you have fine and or looser textured waves and curls and like me have had a difficult time getting the traditional method to work for you, you might want to stick around and give the finger rolls a try. In this video, I will teach you how to finger coil curly hair with the new technique and will explain how to adjust it to fit your needs! As seen on Curly Hair TikTok, Instagram.. you name it!
    Love you xoxx

I’ve been using this method on my hair for years, but I pin the curls in place and let them dry. I basically just do the top layer. I find I get more consistent results this way, rather than putting my hopes on my own waves. Janelle-your hair looks great!

This is called barrel curling, you learn how to do this method in hair school/cosmetology school along with pin curls. You can pin barrel curls by standing them upwards and pinning them at the base of your section or in this case curl, for a wet set and lots of corwn volume. They have special little clips for easy removal when dry at Sally's.

I'm not very dextrous but I get similar results using a traditional mini-barrel curling iron (the type with a pincer clip along the length of the barrel) cold... Just rolling the iron horizontally up each curl to the roots, lightly opening the pincer and sliding the iron out sideways.

No hate at all… but am I the only one who notices her shirt is on backwards? I am neurotic and cannot ignore it 😩.

Totally here for the 'would I do this all over my head? Hell no!' - I feel overwhelmed just thinking about!

My bf has curly hair and over the years without any specific care they’ve gotten looser so I’ve been doing all this research to see how to give him his curls back and this video is super helpful! Absolutely going to give this a try, thank you :)

Maybe I’ll try it this way. Just twisting the hair tends to make my curls looser!!

This might be a total game changer! Finger coiling has never worked for me. And as someone who's not on IG or TikTok I really appreciate you sharing this. Looking lovely!

This was the most brilliant tutorial for finger coiling. Seriously! Your curl clumps are so springy and cute! I'm totally trying this.

Your smile and laughter is infectious! ❤️ I’m still getting used to my changing hair (yay hormones! 🙄) and I get SO frustrated trying to style my hair. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Thank you for all the tips and tricks to make it more efficient.

OMG...this is a game changer! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I stopped coloring my hair just over a year ago and I am mostly salt and pepper with white sections. My greys and whites have never behaved or curled like my natural hair did. I have been struggling to find the right products and techniques to take care of my silvers. I had no idea how difficult this would be. My silvers are dry, unruly and have a mind of their own. The 2 things I tried today upon watching your videos are: damp styling and this coiling technique. I am amazed at the difference. You are the best and I am truly grateful for your postings.
