Yeah, the community is certainly expanding. I actually seen a couple Pan Ams this last riding season. Trading in a more classically styled Harley for the Pan Am is something most guys just can't understand. That is, until they ride a Pan Am, then they get it. Still, I love the classic cruiser H-Ds but if it's down to "You can only have 1 H-D" then it's going to be the Pan Am. It just does everything I need it to do and then some. Thank you for watching and have fun in Nevada!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy it! Have fun in the mountains, here in Appalachia the mountains and hills are the best places to ride! Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to you and yours too!
The 1st iPhone had issues. Friends laughed at me for shelling out the cash. It was transformative for that brand and phones and a joy to experience right out of the gate.
Just got a ‘23 Pan Am Special. Never been in a car that rides as nice, let alone a bike! You can RIP off-road, then blast home with cruise control and be comfortable through all of it. Also feels suspiciously light at almost any speed.
That's why I always recommend people take one on a test ride. It's surprised everyone I've talked to that has taken one out. I let my cousin ride mine yesterday, he's talking about needing a 2nd bike (PAS) now. Thank you for watching and enjoy your new PAS!
I love the Pan Am also, traded my Street Glide for it. You probably already know this but i think you can hold down the “Home” button and change the TFT color to white for day riding and back to dark for night riding.
I'm a little wary of knobbies on pavement, which I do spend a large majority of my time on. It's good to hear that the Wilds do well in the twisties though, having more options (considering the lingering supply chain issues) is always a good thing & something I'll definitely keep in mind. Thanks for watching & commenting!
I suggest hitting up one of the dealerships in person, most of them have a Pan Am just sitting on the showroom floor specifically for people to take out and test ride.
I'm mostly just puttin' along so I haven't really found a need to stand most of the time. I also need to get a set of risers or extensions, the bars are a hair low for my comfort when standing.
Chase, you never have to apologize for what type of motorcycle you ride or even what brand you ride. It is your motorcycle and must meet your needs, not a viewers. I think you have figured out by now that there are a lot of butt wipes on bikes who have the intellect and emotional integrity of a tomato. Don't let them bully you around. I appreciate your content and look forward to more in the future.
Thank you, I guess what I said was seen in more ways than I meant? Sometimes, interactions on the internet are hard to understand because sarcasm, humor, or even someone being completely serious isn't easily recognized when reading text. I've said before that internet culture is quick to take offense but slow to realize and/or admit when something was misinterpreted. Again, thank you for the words, I appreciate it greatly.
That's weird, I just checked the other day & it was there? Let me go and check again right now. Yeah, it's still there? That's ok, I sent you an email to your contact listed in the "About" section on your channel.
Have you tried a BMW 1250GS just to compare. I have an ultra limited and considering one of these but not sure how it would fare on a 5000 mile road trip which is mostly on the road. I tested one and found the buffeting and noise to be quite a bit more than my cruiser. Do you prefer this bike over your cruiser?
I haven't ridden a 1250 GS, the closest BMW dealer to my house is 100 miles away so I didn't really consider them. I do prefer it over my Road King, one ride on the Pan Am convinced me. I've ridden both Glides, my cousin's Street Glide most recently and I wanted my Pan Am back soon after we swapped. Funny enough, his GF preferred riding on the back of my Pan Am. It also beats riding my cousin's 2021 Low Rider S with ease. I know, blasphemy. It's not just buffeting and noise on a long trip, which I don't have too much of a problem with on the Pan Am even at a tick over 6'. I'd just get Puig Touring Windscreen if I found it too awful. The suspension is the huge difference. While the extra horsepower is nice, it's the suspension that sold me. Even with a bad neck and back, I can do 500 miles days with ease. It auto adjusts to how much weight you have on the bike, you can pick from different suspension settings in the custom modes, Comfort being as close to the super plush "you feel nothing" suspensions found on old Cadillacs or Lincolns. It soaks up the harshest bumps with ease, lol, even speed bumps. It also handles great in the twisties, better than anything else H-D makes or has ever made. Due to the radiator covers, you also have built in lowers, I rode in 40*F weather last year in jeans, cowboy boots, a flannel, a vest, and a leather. I was more comfortable than I'd ever been on my Road King at 50*F. I think I called it the most cost effective and capable bagger H-D makes at one point (it's cheaper than any of their faired baggers). If I ever lost my Pan Am due to theft, fire, crash, etc- I'd go out and buy another one as soon as my insurance check cleared the bank. I hope this helped and thank you for watching!
@@Chase_N Just wondering if you find the chain maintenance a pain in the butt. Seems like it could be an issue on longer trips. Have you been on any multi day trips with the bike yet? Thanks for the info.
@@marclawrence2009 I usually do it every 1K miles or slightly less. Longer or multi-day trips I just make sure to do it before I leave. It stays fairly clean unless I'm doing a long stretch on gravel and dirt, after that I usually clean it. If you're doing mostly on-road riding it'll stay clean for quite awhile. It's not hard to keep up on. You're welcome on the info and thank you for watching!
@@billyflanagan9657 I'm pretty sure it's option only. It's rare to get a Special without ARH, I've only seen one. If you want to be sure a PAS has it, there will be wires coming out of the top of the forks. Always ask too, but the wires are a good indicator it's equipped with ARH. Thank you for watching and I hope I helped you out!
You know, there are ways to answer comments submitted to you without coming off as a condescending wise a$$. Just saying. I subbed to your channel fior the content on the original bike, decided to stay when you switched bikes because I had some interest in your backstory and found your bike commentary interesting. I was going to ask a question about this bike, but based on your responses to the other two gentlemen, I think I will just move along to other channels. I don't need anyone disrespecting me like that. Good luck with your attitude.
I'm not sure what you mean, and what responses you're talking about? I'm certainly not a wise a$$ and I admit freely on a regular basis that I'm an idiot (on camera no less). Hmm, I think something was taken out of context here or maybe my tone was misread?
I love my Pan Am! Traded in a heritage classic for it. Im glad to see the community expanding. Cheers from Northern Nevada

I enjoy your content! ‘23 Pan America special here and I absolutely love it. It’s perfect for the Colorado mountains!

Just got the 2024 CVO PA last week. Traded in my RG special for it. Absolutely love the PA!!!
Another convert, welcome to the club! Enjoy the lighter weight, better suspension, better handling, and more HP! Also, thank you for watching!

more action in the twistys with that bike would be awesome to see

Yep, I guess I'm just a dark mode kind of guy though.
Have the knobby Anakee Wild on mine and it'll handle the twisties as hard as im brave enough to push it.

You should try standing when on the gravel.

Hey Chase, would still like to make contact unless you’re not interested. There’s no email addy on your TH-cam about page. Ride safe!

I lov my Pan Am. I make no apologies for it. Not sure why you feel compelled to.
Mate ride it like you stole it . Not like your afraid of it .,
Do you have the ARH?
Yes I do, it's such a nice feature.
@Chase_N OK that is an additional 1000 dollar option on the special or does it come standard on the special? Thanks
