    Great tutorial! This would be a very useful tool. Eyeballing corner cuts or even drawing straight lines with a ruler are not always easy for me. Wish I was better skilled with using a craft knife so I could have made one of these for myself. I could have saved a bit of money. I ended up buying a set of 4 book miter corner tools from Amazon that have sure helped me with making better corners while keeping myself out of the emergency room.😊 LOL Thanks for sharing this tool with us.

      oh right, i have seen the ones you can buy, are they ok to use? I love these homemade ones they last so well and i made a few sizes but i have my favourite, the craft knife is great but you need a self healing mat permanently set on ya table to make using them convenient, I used to do leather craft so using a knife on paper is easy compared to cutting 3mm leather. until our next chat happy crafting Morgaine ♥︎♡☆🦋 hugs Donna

      @@JunkJournalideas the corner tool set I purchased are based in mm rather than inch and seems to be a bit off when using 8.5 x 11 inch paper but not off enough to be unusable. It could be user error as well! They are easy to use, which is a plus. They may not be as precise as what you made though but compared what I did previously by eye they are a huge improvement and safer for me. LOL
      Have a great weekend!

    Thank you for the tutorial. It was very informative & you explained everything realy well. What if you're just making a book cover out of a manila envelope? How would you make the adjustment with the thickness of the envelope which would be a lot thinner than the 1/8 inch book board.

    • @JunkJournalideas
      @JunkJournalideas  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks Paper Puddles, appreciate you tuning in, you know what, i'm thinking i would make one using a one flat piece of 300gsm card stock, so its a flat piece of cardboard, cut out the right angle for the corner of the journal and measure out about 2mm on the diagonal and cut the corner off on the same angle as i have create din the video and it should work out, id test it on a scrap first to find the sweet spot of how far to come out from the corner instead of the 1/8" :-) ♥︎♡☆🦋 hugs Donna
