Just wanted to say, since I've started watching these guides I've improved by a lot. Before I couldn't even take a game from the 6th player on my local pr, now I'm bringing the guy that's currently 3rd on pr to the last game. My problem is just not freaking out and choking rn, but these videos have improved my joker a lot. Aiming to beat him tonight ;)
Great job as always man, Nair is one of my fav moves just because of all the options it covers and also because of how safe the move is. Definitely needed this video!
Some good stuff you mentioned, especially with ledgetrapping since I never thought to use it there. I know you touched on it but I like using nair in combos, like after dthrow or fair 1. It's not always true, but you can frame trap with it. And I've gotten some sick combos where I've done dthrow > rar nair > bair into an edgeguard.
When I watch my replays, I always do better when I put this into my gameplay. It has given me a lot of free grabs and follow ups. People often comment that I never seem to miss a grab, and I think this move is why. Great video as always!
The three primary uses I have of nair is for roll/tech situations, ledge trapping, and neutral. I think all of them lead to combos as well, or at least to some extent, and apply a lot of pressure.

well rising nair isnt as useful but it can be used OoS and maybe to catch landings or approaches? i havent found as much use out of it as falling nair, but who knows! :P

non fast falls can work at times too! it can be a good mixup but you also have to rememeber that it wont work everytime, sometimes it will and sometimes it wont! :D
You forgot that one good thing about nair that good joker player do is cross up shield to be behinds of you opponent (by going from the top of your opponent and cross with the falling nair but other than that great video

i get MUs requested prolly the most, especially pikachu. but i still dont have enough experience on that MU to make a legit guide, i’d rather wait until tournaments come back up again and play good players from my area to get overall MU knowledge. so not at this time but prolly in the future! 💪🏽
Hey Cozy do you think you can do a Min Min match up guide? I am struggling against the character. Every time I try to approach Min Min she just runs away to the other side of the stage to throw out hitboxes that are nearly unchallengeable. I also don’t know how to deal with her dash attack and her dtilt passing straight through my shield. I can edge guard and ledge trap but whenever I try to shield pressure she justs up B to get out. I also am struggling to land grabs and other combo starters because of Min mins sheer range keeping me out.
i havent played against any good min mins tbh only a couple of elite smash min mins. but most of them do what ur saying but a big key is to get a lead first, once u have a lead they have to come to u, so that camping gamestyle won’t work. i would say just be patient and dont always run into her hitboxes, maybe use double jump down guns which reach suprisingly far, counters, or any form of fakeout such as airdodges. other than that i got nothing else cuz i barely have any min min experience myself 😅
I have been struggling with nair for a while now and it has cost me a lot of games. To get that nice forward hitbox out of SH Nair, should i wait a second before inputting nair? I think I am buffering it out of a jump and the hitbox doesnt really come out which causes me to get punished in neutral.
A lot of times when I try to shff nair the move barely comes out but Leo does it so easily in neutral and avoids shield grabs...Is it timing issue? Is shff nair safe on shield?
yea the timing is not really that strict so i would just recommend to keep practicing it! and yes shff nair is safe on shield since it can avoid shield grabs by buffering a spotdodge right after landing
its an attack cancel bair and then i do another one (which is true) i have a controller guide that covers how to do this specifically, the thumbnail is mario with a gamecube controller, check it out! :)

The timing was perfect. This is the one move in jokers moveset that I never use successfully but I know it is good. Mucho gracias

Nair can also be decent for getting in on zoning because it can often clank with projectiles

yea with proper timing Nair is good against spotdodges because of the long lasting hitbox!

yea at times delaying it slightly can be just what u need! it really depends because buffered nairs can also be helpful as well, very situational

Is nair safe on shield because when ever I fastfall nair I always get by things like wolf nair out of shield
if executed properly it is safe on shield, its -5 on shield and u can spotdodge to avoid a shieldgrab
