Apparently we haven't been taking care of the infrastructure and we don't have enough people or equipment to get the clean up and restoration done quickly. By taking care of the infrastructure, I mean with the bad spring storms we had, they may have used up all the extra grid parts they had in storage before hurricane season even got here, and with the economy bad, they didn't refill their stock of parts, maybe. I don't know that, but it's likely. Cities that are in the line of continual tropical storms should bury (and waterproof) their power lines. It is only a given that power lines will get damaged storm after storm! My power was out for only a day (owl shorted the wires) and that was awful. I can't imagine not having power for a week. Also, if possible, in hot areas like this Underground homes would be ideal. The temperature ranges between 50 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Any hills or mountains in Houston (or the South as far as that matters) underground homes would be a great business to start!!
Power immediately the wires need repair and get this done because the longer the power outage happens will be more cost added to what will be requested for damage in a lawsuit.
Bless these peoples hearts.💔 This is so so wrong!! Center Point Electric Company should be Forced to buy each one of them a generator and gas!!! This is Not Right!!💔🙏🙏🙏
imagine people are living in the houses where brick is just an exterior. it is not structure. imagine houses in texas built the proper way where walls is the house structure and whenever trees are going down, - at least walls gonna stop it from going all the way down to the bedroom.
It's going to take until the end of July - at the earliest for power to be restored to those who haven't gotten it by July 19th (which is most of these areas in the north that bore the brunt of the hurricane's path with uprooted trees and fallen poles) - it is a major job.
Tomorrow will be one week without power from a weak category 1 hurricane. Yes it did damage some areas and property but imagine how we would be if this were a category 4 hurricane. Centerpoint needs to be investigated
That is a complete lie ! Biden never once called Abbott or Lt . Governor. You believe lying Biden. The same guy who did not show up to E . Palenstine a year plus later !

COME ON MAN fema about time the TAX PAYER funded program should of been their DAY ONE but all anyone wants to complain about it the private power company, so my question to these people is WHO DO YOU THINK SHOULD HAVE TO FIX YOUR PRIVATE PROPERTY and for what FREE not in this day and age
What I see is mostly a tree problem. Get those trees away from your homes and power lines and I bet your chances of keeping power rises dramatically. Trees are not your friends.
You know? You pay HOA dues religiously so why doesn't HOA reach out to their communities and provide services needed to these people who are suffering??? Like cutting those trees away and providing a portable kitchen or something??? Everyone passes the buck!! That is the least they can do!!!!
The HOA is only good for sending letters about trashcans and giving community contracts to friends and family. They collect the dyes and couldn't care less about the residents, sadly.
Of course the power is going to be out after a hurricane, for a few days in some areas. That's to be expected in a place where we have big trees. But I'm sure it's really hard on people in full summer heat. Y'all, please look after the elderly and anyone particularly sensitive to heat. I pray they get the mess of trees, poles, and downed wires cleaned up and y'all's power resorted really soon! It feels wonderful to be cool again, finally, after the power has been out for days. Makes you not take ac for granted anymore, at least for a while.
Where’s your governor? Bet his somewhere cool and cosy, while his constituents are burning! Time to remove him and his party! Vote blue! May god bless you all! 💙💙

The temperature ranges between 50 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Any hills or mountains in Houston (or the South as far as that matters) underground homes would be a great business to start!!
As of 1 hour ago people are going 6 days without power
The comment section is sad😢
Praying for you guys
🙏🙏🙏😰
Tomorrow will be one week without power from a weak category 1 hurricane. Yes it did damage some areas and property but imagine how we would be if this were a category 4 hurricane. Centerpoint needs to be investigated
I couldnt deal with this im so sorry yaw going threw this houston weather is to unpredictable and they never have a plan
Wow. It's almost as if a hurricane tore through there or something.
Most people are not financially prepared for emergencies.
And of course Abbott left the state and was not responding to Biden to get the people help. My fellow Texans, Abbott doesn't put the people first.
Texans die under Maga Abbott! Twice shame on you ! 3 times Vote blue!
He NEVER has, but people are so lost that they continue to vote against their, and everyone else’s, best interests.
Biden was busy with zelensky giving him millions of cash and forgot about Houston .Democrats love Ukraine and hate Houston
That is a complete lie !
Biden never once called Abbott or Lt . Governor.
You believe lying Biden.
The same guy who did not show up to E . Palenstine a year plus later !
Abbott left the country before the storm was developed as well.
So get your timeline & facts right lady.
Looks like Northwood manor. Half the subdivision has power and the other half doesn't. There is a Centerpoint employee that lives in the half that dies have power....go figure
100+ degree weather…. Broken power grid…. Texas is such nice place to live…. LOL
That's Texas!
ALL THE POOR PEOPLE HAVE NO POWER
Every single person I know who applied has been denied by fema
We need water and ice please
I am seriously starting to feel like people and businesses are going to start moving out of this area due tot he weather and it will be like Detroit in 20 years.
any fact checking-- Rumor: no-pay disputes at CenterPoint are point of delay, no trust.
It’s Criminal!!!
Where's their Governor?
What I see is mostly a tree problem. Get those trees away from your homes and power lines and I bet your chances of keeping power rises dramatically. Trees are not your friends.
The trees weren’t the problem. Electrical grid is trash. Our power went out the storm before this one too. That one didn’t knock down trees
@@BigSheez Both can be true at the same time. They are not mutually exclusive.
@@rickss69 it’s also a problem of centerpoint had their crews sitting waiting on work assignments all Monday long smh. Almost no work was done
@@WakandaleezaRazzm
@@BigSheez you think we should be on a national grid?
RIP
All the money that could help Americans is sent to countries all over the world.
FEMA has denied thousands already this week!
Really? 😔 😟
Why?
It's, time to Repent.
still no power maybe tomorrow
Makes you not take ac for granted anymore, at least for a while.
il trade him that Lincoln for a generator....
Bro I’m dead 😂
Where’s your governor? Bet his somewhere cool and cosy, while his constituents are burning! Time to remove him and his party! Vote blue! May god bless you all! 💙💙
😂dont forget to take in bidens migrants in your house, they need cars and cash dont forget that too
This has all been done on purpose. FCP😶
Houston has become worse than a third world country 😢
Qwhd reveales these news anchors are not so attractive. I used to think they was pretty with 13inch 240/360p. Then hd was upgraded for the public. They are horrific😊

I have power because God loves me
That’s the stupidest thing I’ve read today 😊
😂
They're two elderly people suffering and their home is destroyed. You're not being edgy. You're just an asshole.
Mocking god ? One of your days is gonna be real bad.
Bunch of babies, try 2 months in Florida without power 🙄
Thank god for renewable energy. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
We’re still waiting for FEMA checks from hurricane Harvey genius. This is a joke.
While your governor is in Asia vacationing like republicans Cruz to Concun Mexico! Try voting blue next time!
@@lovemypets254 not of fan of either. The Texas governor is a literal cripple like this state.
