I've been looking for a 5-string version of this bass for awhile now. Unfortunately, I've never been around one of these basses to hear, or play. But, it seems, to my ear, that the notes absolutely JUMP off the fingerboard on these instruments. The 5-string version string spacing is 18mm, compared to the 19mm that I prefer. But, for one of these, I'd most definitely be willing to take the time to get accustomed to it. Nice review, Johnny Long. Keep it up.
I'm way late to this video, but great video. You look sharp. The bass looks great. It sounds great. Everything about this video just makes me happy. Also, as a bass player, I really feel 6:33.
If the neck is back bowed (hard to believe) someone must have deliberately damaged it. That neck is made from Carbon Graphite - lighter than wood/stronger than steel. The neck was made for Peavey by Modulus (Brian Bromberg's specified design). There's no truss rod. The neck relief is engineered into the neck. Changing string gauges or types, temperature/humidity changes have extremely little effect on the neck. Trust me on this. I have several B-Quad. Some were in storage for 10 years. When I took them out of the case they were still in tune!!!
Modulus NEVER made a bass that plays as well as the B-Quad. That neck was made to Bromberg's specifications. It's not a poor man's anything. More like the Ford GT that kicked Ferrari & Porsche ass at LeMans
Totally, yet people eat that shit up?!?!! I don't get it either, I've known this game for a long time, and he's not this goofy in person. This is his TH-cam version apparently....
The sound of Peavey Basses are PHAT!!!
That thing has got an amazing sound! It sounds like it’s incredibly versatile too.
Just found your channel. Loving the good vibes bubba. Cheers!

The B-Quad were made with Wilkinson floating bridge. The spacing between the saddles is adjustable!
This man is a monster on the big guitar!

Cool jacket.... I was just reading in my peavey guitar book about this bass. I need one. Thanks for the great video.
Thanks
Awesome find JL🤜💯🤛
Brian Bromberg is an often overlooked bassist. He's up there with Billy Sheehan, Wooten, Jaco, insert bass legend here
That bass has extreme sustain. Wow is all I can say.
I have one in mint condition.... Haven't been playing it lately, been playing my Lakland, but maybe I'll drag it out for a few gigs...
Damn, I done posted twice. So, you know I'm jonesing real bad hard for a B-Quad 5, like a fiend.
Near Ken Smith is Peavey Cirrus ...Best regards :)
#1 bass on wishlist
I have a Bquad like this with a bowed neck (!) Backbowed... I got it cheap but I can not play it because of the warped neck. Any advice how to fix it?

Thats got big balls...I never thought about a Peavey but I might concider that for some dropped D tuning things.
That bass sounds great!
Que precio tiene ese bajo. 🎸💲💰
take as long as you need your vids rock
Looks like Gus Fring decided to be a musician after all that
What issues do you have with this awesome sounding Bass? Just curious.
Depends on what day of the week it is, he don't know!
Sounds great Johnny. But in fear of sounding ignorant is this the same Peavey Co. that makes the amps?
Harold Brooks .....same one
Yes
That is one Hunny of a Pevey Basss
did you keep it bra?
Is this peavey heavy as some peaveys are known to be?
No
U got it...lol
Gerry dorsch made that neck. 1000 ladies paint gives it away. He’s the best at carbon fiber basses....
Graphite.
This bass needs to be locked up, institutionalized, and have the key thrown out. Balls deep! 😳😳😳
Can you send me some of dat you got in ur hands!!!
Johnny my first bass was a Peavey Patriot bass But i forgot what happened to it.
Video is great but i always skip the 1st 2 minutes..lol.
Make sure what your pointing to is in camera frame... can't see what your pointing at
*you're
You + are = you're
Its pee ei zow
I'd love to find one of these in a 5-string version. But, these basses are like hen's teeth. VERY RARE. Poor man's Modulus......

This bass is better than any Modulus
Oh lord jesus!
Piezo
Pronounced "Pee-Ay-Zo"
Not "Pie-Zee-O"
Annoying he is. 🤢
