It was also a bit of an inspiration in a comic my brother and I created, later making a game in high school. It is sci-fi/space/metal/fantasy lol. The main character Einar, was inspired by Flash Gordon, since our grandparents loved that show, however as Flash Gordon was football star (1980s, polo player in the 1940s), we made Einar the lead vocalist/guitarist, of what is called a Strife Metal Band named, "Star Rekkr" lol.
So Spear from my favorite Adult Swim show Primal was reincartinated into a ninja warrior Guts-lookalike.. I like it! :D NOTE: Spear and Gara both have the same voice actor.
